Can you feel something like a small grape size ball? That's your cervix. Depending on how far you have to reach for it is whether it's high or low. It goes from low to high at ovulation then in pregnancy it gets so high you probably can't reach it, if AF is coming it goes low again. The softness & hardness changes through your cycle too, from hard like an apple to soft at ovulation like a soft avocado then back to hard if AF is going to come, it'll stay relatively soft if you're pregnant. As for the opening, it opens up for ovulation to allow the sperm to get through to where it's supposed to get to. Sooooo I'd say you're right on ovulation time
