Laporoscopy completed two days ago..dye studies- NO BLOCKAGES?..what happens next?
Have been on clomophene for about 3 months. with no success....
I have just completed my hysteroscopy/DC , laparoscopy - DYE STUDIES, curete, on thursday...still bit sore, which I assume will subside in the next few days.
The surgeon found that the dyes ran out of both tubes successfully, therefore NO BLOCKAGE. So if there is no blockage, why am I not pregnant?
i now HAVE TO WAIT A FURTHER 4 WEEKS BEFORE i SEE MY SPECIALIST?
What happens now? What other treatments will he offer me?
Many Thanks
yes, you should start feeling better within the next few days, the length of recovery time will vary from person to person depending on how much endo they removed etc.
It is common for you to not see your gyno for a few weeks - anything between 4 and 6 is expected. The endo could have been preventing you from conceiving, so having clear tubes is great - it's one thing you can rule out when finding a reason for it and now that you've had it done and everything has had a good clean out you may find that you are able to conceive now. Sometimes you may need further medicating. After my first lap I was put on Duphaston for a few months but after my second I had a mirena inserted, but both those times we were not planning on conceiving so I didn't need to fall pg right away kwim? But if you want to TTC immediately then he may not put you on any medication or he might put you on something to help regulate your cycles if the endo made your cycles irregular etc. Oh and he will probably call in a week once he has the pathology results back as what they remove is sent off to pathology to determine whether it is endo or not as well and he will let you know those results, tell you how it went if he didn't after the surgery and also ask how you are going recovery wise.
Thank you trillian for your information, its been most helpful. I shall have to be patient and wait till further discussions with my specialist. Many Thanks
