    A line is a line....?

I have an irregular cycle, and in the past, I have kept track of where I am by temping and charting. It works BEAUTIFULLY.... when I do it. But I haven't done any charting since DD3 was born, and so I really haven't a CLUE where I'm at in my cycle. I've had cycles ranging from 24 days to 44 days, with the past couple of cycles being about 32 days. I am currently at day 40, and took at pg test this afternoon. And there was a faint second line. I had been wondering for a little while if something was going on, but I'm not sure if I can trust that - it was a pretty faint line. Although, it showed up within a minute and the test said to wait 3 minutes. And, it was mid-afternoon, not early morning. So, do I have to wrap my head around the reality that I am pregnant again!?!? What do you think? And, does anyone have any suggestions for guessing my due date? I've had cramping and a sore back off and on for about 8 days, been short of breath for about 5 days (I always get that in early pregnancy, for some reason.) and have had sore varicose veins on my knee for about 2 weeks. Does that give any one any clues as to how far I could be?!
Give me some clues here people! It's going to take me a few days to adjust. No doubt when the nausea hits, I'll have to accept the truth. Don't worry - I'll be excited for this baby - it's just going to take a couple of days!

Thanks SaraJane. I'm starting to be more and more excited.... been looking at baby name websites, and checking how far a long I could be with different pregnancy calculators. It's just the thought of the nausea and exhaustion that I usually get for a few weeks (I know so many women have it worse!) with three other little ones to care for, right over the Christmas/New Years visiting time, when I don't think I'll be ready to share the news yet, so I'll have to hide it.... And I still remember the last six weeks or so of my last pregnancy and how tired and sore and huge I felt, and how I couldn't sleep and walking hurt.... and so on. I have to get myself ready for that! And, I have to keep in mind that those things are all temporary, and remember how much we are enjoying our little ladies now. And, I can be so thankful that I have a wonderful, supportive DH, who, although shocked, is quite excited too.

Wow, congratulations Cricket! It sounds like you are UTD to me!

Unfortunately I can't help you with your EDD either, you'll most likely need a dating scan.

    How exciting, congratulations again!!!

    Thanks Trish.
Yes, I know I'll probably just have to wait for an ultrasound, but I'm a bit of a control freak, and I like to know everything RIGHT AWAY! And I likely won't be able to have an ultrasound until 10 or 12 weeks, and that seems like an eternity away right now. I'm sure it will come soon enough - you'd think after three kids I'd have learned a little patience by now!

Wow cricket congrats! I was shocked when I found out about this pregnancy, wasn't exactly planned - but what can you do when no contraception was used!
I'm going to say that you are about 4 weeks preg (just to throw a number out there)!
Good Luck, look forward to reading about your progress! Hope it's a blue one just so DH doesn't feel left out!!

    Thanks Ubba82!
Yes, we would love to have a boy, but of course we will be thrilled with a girl too. It would be nice for DH to have a son.
I am guessing that I'm due some time around August 20 or so. I don't want to be too ambitious with the guess, 'cause it would really be sad to be told that I'm not as far as I thought I was.
We have never used contraception, so I've always been on the lookout for pregnancy symptoms, etc. and we do want more babies! It's just a bit of a mental adjustment from thinking of more babies some day in the future, to another baby NOW!

Counting Days - thanks, and I wish you all the best with your TTC. It took us 15 months to conceive DD1, so I remember that feeling too.

Rach81 - thanks! It looks like we'll be due around the same time, if my guess is right. Congratulations to you and your DH too!
