LP of 7 days - why so short?

    Hello!

Started spotting today at 7dpo could even be classed as a light flow... This is unusual to me.. I am only at CD 23 but pretty sure AF will be flowing tomorrow.

So why such a short luteal phase??

I'm not too disappointed. Even tho I did everything possible to fall pg this month I had a feeling from the start it wasn't my month so I am kind of glad I don't need to wait the 10+ days until the next cycle starts..

Also on another question.. I had a chemical pg last cycle - could this muck around with my cycle? I didn't think it would cause it didn't stick...

Yes absolutely anything to do with hormones can mess things up. Good luck and I hope you get your BFP soon x

    could it be implantation spotting?

No Doubt that it will be an implantation bleed. My temps are ****e and my CP is low soft open so its definitely AF.

Joeve - do you how long it would take to get my cycles back in line at the chem pg?

CP is unrelated to early PG, it returns to LFC regardless of whether you conceive or not. You really could be experiencing an IB, or just the start of AF, since your temp will drop on both events. Not even a negative pg test will help because it is far too early. Sorry! I hope this is just a little speed bump on the smooth path to a BFP.

So CP has nothing to do with early pg? Did some reading up and most sites say that a softish closed CP could mean pgncy but it doesnt happen at the same time for all women.... I don't know what to think now. I normally get a shocking headache before AF comes and I didnt get anything, just kinda popped up out of the blue.

*sigh* another one of those curve balls thrown at me...

Interesting but when AF comes doesn't the CP go soft and open? I can't really say if this is normal for me, CP has confused me this cycle as it is normally LFC until AF arrives but this one been a lot softer..

After O, CP doesn't matter. Infact, they tell you NOT to check it, not only because it doesn't matter, but because you shouldn;t check your CP in early pg anyway (risk of infection or disturbing the plug).

I tried for DD1 for 12 loooong cycles so I know how hard it can be, but it really helps to get into the mindset of not overanalysing a single temp or cp or cm etc. From this point on, nothing you do can help your chance of falling pregnant this cycle, but stressing about it can hinder things.

TTC is tough, I hope you don't have to tough it out much longer. Let's hope this isn't AF and the bleeding is gone in the morning.

    xoxo

Oh well I know that I won't be checking CP beyond O in my next cycle didn't realize the infection risk..

I'm not stressing, quite calm actually and am accepting the new cycle if it comes to that. Just curious as why LP could be so short..

Thank you M I hope the bleeding is gone in the morning too

Agh how frustrating. Sorry to hear about the witch, hoping she stays away for a good 9 months for you now .
