Although my fiance's sperm is good i was wondering what tablets are best for the sperm apart from menevit as they are abit pricey. Zinc tablets are meant to be good arent they? but the sperm need more vitamins than that dont they?
Before he takes vitamins he should have his levels tested. I had Dh on Menevit but his zinc levels were too high so he stopped it. He just takes a normal multivitamin now plus magnesium powder when he remembers.
If zinc is too high, other levels end up out of balance, such as magnesium.
IMO, the Swisse men's ultivite. I know this because it's helped to improve DH's sperm quality (judging by the tests he's done).
The acupuncturist/TCM/naturopath I've been seeing (she's specialised in fertility for 30 years) thinks menevit is a waste of money. Her opinion only, of course. She's also had DH on a naturopath supplement (Metagenic's Paternal Plus) and Omega-3 Plus capsules.
lionsandbears - wow i didnt think that he would have to get his zinc levels checked but i totally understand why that would be needed as you explained. Would it be better getting a multi vitamin instead of just the zinc ones?
Andie - I will have a look into the Swiss men's ultivite - thanks for that. It's obviously good stuff if it has been proven to help sperm quality as it did your husbands.
I hope everyone is having a great night - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
