    missed period?????

    Hi all
Just wandering if anyone knows any other reason for missing my period. I gave birth 5 months ago to a beautiful baby girl and got my periods back back when she was 8 weeks old. They are very late but were following a 28 day cycle. unitil last month I bled on day twnty and now it is day 30 of my cycle and no periods. Im still breat feeding but not exclusivley as milk supply is really low. Itook a test and it is negative. Could I be pregnant agin ???

Yes it is possible to be UTD, but it is also possible that BFing is causing irregular cycles. Iff DD has BFed more than usual and is having overnight feeds that can delay ovulation. DD could be upping your supply and removing ovulation, and hopefully reducing the need for formula for you.

Thanks ali I guess I have been trying to increase my milk supply so maybe that is it. Ijust feel really achy and uncomfortable like I did when I first feel pregnant . But I guess time will tell. Congrats on your little munchkin I bet you cant wait goodluck honey.

When I had DD my period came back when she was about 3 months (I was exclusively breastfeeding but also using a dummy) and then they disappeared for a few months after that. It wasn't until she was about . . . well, somewhere between 9 and 12 months that they became regular and even now they still jerk me around by a few days each month! Perhaps wait another 7 days and take another test, if it's still BFN then you're probably not pregnant. If you're 10 days after your period is due (and therefore, theoretically 24 days post-ovulation) then a test at this time should be accurate but since you're breastfeeding, it's possible that you ovulated late in your cycle. HTH.
