More difficult to get pregnant after a mc?

    Hi there,

My husband and I are TTC our second baby at the moment. We already have an 18 month old little girl. Anyway we got pregnant 4 months ago, but I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and had to have a D & C.

Just wondering if any of you have found it harder to conceive after a miscarriage? I think I am thinking about it too much. I really believed that I was pregnant this month (sore boobs, feeling sick, tired etc) but I did an ultra sensitive test this morning and it was negative. My period is not due for 5 more days though so maybe there still is a chance. How reliable are the pregnancy tests that say you can test before your period is due?

So want to have another baby. I am starting to get really impatient!

I haven't found those 'ultra sensitive' test to be very reliable at all.. I'd say wait until AFs due before testing with FMU..
It took DP and I 10 months to concieve our angel baby and 9 months to concieve DS so around the same amount of time..
Good luck with TTC hope this is your month!

I agree wait a little longer to get a positive HPT.

I used to be in the TTC after m/c & loss threads all the time & I'd say most ladies would be pregnant again within 3-6 months of a loss, some were earlier & some would take a little longer.

I lost a bub at 10 weeks in April - and was pregnant by June.......so no issues here

I read somewhere that once you become pregnant the first time - whether it ends in an m/c or not - it get easier to fall pregnant the next time. Not sure how that would affect you, as you already have a daughter, but I don't think its hurts fertility, unless there was a problem with the DnC.

    Good luck chick
