    My first Gyno Appt

As the title says Im going to my first gyno appt on Thursday.. I dont know what to expect, what to ask gosh Im nervous lol

I basically wanted to see him because of my irregular periods and we have been trying for over a year now. What are some good questions I should ask? Should I expect to have to um spread my legs so to speak lol Should I take my last 2 ultrasounds? lol I dont know! Any help would be great!

take any relevant info you have - so previous u/s, timing of periods etc. you may have to have an exam but it's more likely you'll get handed a pathology form and sent on your way for lots of BT's. really depends on what your GP has done and forward to gyne. i would go in expecting to have an exam and walk out relieved if you don't!

    good luck

Yep, take everything with you. You probably won't have to spread 'em, but I'd prepare myself, just in case like BG says.

    Good luck!

I ended up having an internal ultrasound on my first gynae visit so you are best to be prepared for the worst and hope it doesn't happen!

    Well

the appt went good. I was so nervous. lol

From my previous BT he recon'd Im not ovulating especially with my very irregular cycles. He saw my previous u/s and said I have lots of eggs.

So he put me on Provera 10mg to bring on my period and prescribed clomid!!!

    I was so excited lol

I mentioned my weight (he didnt mention it) he said Im not that big and it didnt make a difference. That made me feel good.

He said he will make me o and get me pg hehehehhe im so happy.

He also sent me for bloods and after that I sat in the car and sobbed lol Called a couple of people and sobbed lol So in all im excited to start my provera tomorrow

Thanks so much everyone for your support. It means so much to me

yay for progress! thats fantastic that you've been taken seriously and jumping the gun to get started. hoping the clomid works for you

just a little warning from someone that's BTDT - it's a REALLY good idea to advise your partner that you may become a little, ummm, moody on these meds - they can make you VERY PMS-ish! even for someone like me that doesn't get PMS lol

    And look at you now!

How many cycles did it take you to fall pregnant?
