As the time it is taking to conceive increases i want to go and see someone but i am unsure which one to pick!! can you please give my your opinion on either one you went and saw and if you saw both which one you would suggest!
Hi there, well I weighed this one up too.
After the 12 months ttc mark I started seeing a chinese herbalist/acupuncturist and I am finding it quite good.
I feel invigorated after a session of acupuncture and the herbs are ok too. Quite good in winter with lots of honey but a little bitter none the less. I've heard conflicting things but I am still giving it a go.
Also worth mentioning that I have never been pregnant before and though I probably just m/c I was pregnant this cycle. I really felt it too and my TCM practitioner thought I was pregnant well before I got a positive HPT. I felt the treatment revved my body up and may have helped but cant really be sure I guess.
Good luck!!!
Where do you live? I know a good acupuncturist up in Brisbane that does quite a bit of conception work. She studied with my husband and I saw the other day about some post-baby probs. She also does homeopathy and some other techniques I am not hugely familiar with but would be good to give you some broader options than someone who only does one. HTH.
Hi there, I just recently went to see a naturopath and found him to be extremely helpful. I haven't been Oing regularly and have seen my doctor who did a few tests and put me on some drugs, but I don't like the idea of using synthetic based drugs if there other other options out there that don't come with the potentially harsh side-effects.
Anyway, DH and I heard about a naturopath was based in Swan Hill, Victoria and he uses a CEDS machine which can pinpoint exactly what your body is deficient in or if there are any other problems by using your acupuncture points. As it turns out my vital baby organs are all working fine, but my body hasn't been absorbing the nutrients it needs to be able to sustain a pregnancy. I am now taking some natural mixtures and herbs to get me on the right track and I can already feel a big difference in myself.
The naturopath in Swan Hill has a 4-6 week waiting list as he comes highly recommended. You could ask at any health food shop about other naturopaths that use a CEDS machine as they often coordinate the bookings.
I would highly recommend a naturopath, but whatever you decide to choose, it has to feel right for you. Best of luck...
I talked to my DH about it and he suggested flipping a coin.. so you ladies are coming up with much better arguments.
Krysalyss - i live in nth Qld so if anyone has any suggestions up here!
