Since going off the pill about 3 years ago, I have had spotting about a week post ovulation that lasted a few days - like a 'mini period' that would then stop for a few days before AF came in full force. After TTC for 12 months I was refered to an OB who found nothing, and then to a fertility specialist due to DH sperm issues (we ended up having other issues that was stopping us from getting pg). Despite nothing really concrete regarding the spotting (eg from my hormone blood tests), my FS put me on progesterone pessaries after each transfer (post ovulation) - this stopped the spotting. She thought that my spotting was related to low progesterone/issues post ovulation.

If you have been trying to have a baby for 2 years I would strongly advise getting a referal from your GP to a fertility specialist to see if you can be helped to speed up the process of getting a little one in your arms. Although it can be a daunting process, it can be a step in the right direction.
