    New

Hi there everybody. I'm not sure where would be the best place to post an introductory post like this and figured this would be the best spot. I'm in a situation that might be uncommon on this forum and that is, not yet TTC but I'm preparing to start TTC. We will start trying in the next 6 to 12 months when a few issues in our life have settled down but I feel like I'm physically and emotionally preparing myself for motherhood now. I suffer from PCOS and I have a bit of weight to lose, plus we are trying to get our budget sorted before we actually start doing without birth control. I wish we could be TTC right now but I am thankful I have the chance to get these few things under control before we actually begin, as I know not all couples get this opportunity.
So although I'm not technically TTC yet I do hope I can still find - and give! - some support on this forum, and I'm looking forward to getting a lot of good advice from everybody so I'm prepared as best as I possibly can be for when we actually begin trying. Cheers.

Hi isharathena, welcome to BB! I'm in a similar situation to you - not TTC just yet but certainly getting prepared for when we start in August. I agree that it's good to have the time to really get ready for it, you can make sure emotionally, physically and financially you're well and truely ready and doing the right thing!

Good luck getting it all sorted, good luck when you start TTC, and look forward to seeing you around BellyBelly

Welcome isharathena! You'll find heaps of support on BB. There is a thread in TTC buddies for chatting with others who are also pre-TTC. You can join that if you like. There are also lots of women on here who have PCOS (I'm one!) so there will be plenty of support for that too.
    Good luck.

Thanks so much everyone for welcoming me.

Teirae, from your post I gather you and I might have a few things in common; are you pagan? I am, and am a clairvoyant and spiritualist, so I love what you sig says about all the souls waiting to be born right now.

No definitely TMI ebsta, that's the sort of thing we're here to chat about after all. Thanks for the encouragement, yep I've bought a thermometer and am trying to get in the habit of monitoring my BBT and mucus and things...due to the PCOS and coming off the Pill last year there hasn't been any real patterns emerging but I'm trying to chart as best I can anyway.
