    Hi all

I'm new to this forum... thought it sounded like a really good idea to hear about other women in my situation. Don't really know the 'lingo' so forgive me!

Me and hubby have been TTC since July 09 and I have PCOS. No luck so far as I'm not really ovulating much. Just been referred to Pivet Medical Center in Perth - has anyone heard anything about this place? Going to start investigations into what's going on, all a bit scary and don't know why they can't just put me on Clomid straight away!! I know the investigations will show I'm not ovulating which I could have told them for free

This is the hardest phase of my life I've ever encountered and it is really hard to stay positive, it's nice to see that there are a lot of you out there who understand! My best friend is pregnant too (by accident) which doesn't help.

Look forward to reading people's thoughts and messages and please let me know if you have any info about Pivet - good or bad!

    Have a great weekend everyone.

    Hi Daisey,

Firstly, welcome to bb, and I really hope that your journey here is a positive one. There are plently of women here to offer great support and quality advice, which I find beyond helpful.

As far as wondering why they can't just put you on clomid, well, the investigations will help to see if that is the best plan for you.

I know I used to think, why can't he just put me on clomid??? But thankfully he didn't as further investigations found a genetic issue with my partner that is so complex our only chance to have a totally safe pregnancy is IVF.

    Best of luck to you.

    Hi Daisy,

Welcome to BB. I'm sorry that your journey to pregnancy has had few challenges. I know it's frustrating at times, particularly all the waiting.

I don't have any info on Pivet as I"m in Melbourne. There are a few Perth girls around so hopefully you will hear something.

If you want to share some of the TTC ups and downs why don't you join in with one of the groups.

Hope your journey to motherhood ends really soon.

    Best wishes

    Hi Daisymags.

Welcome to BB! There are lots of women here who are going through the same thing. I have PCOS too. My FS did lots of tests & we found that my DH had a low sperm count. Like Kimmi said, I guess they are just checking to make sure they are treating you for all the issues first rather than put you on clomid only to find that something else is causing the problem.

I completely understand what you mean. Getting your hopes up each month (more so for us poor PCOS sufferers as AF never arrives "on time") only to have them dashed again & again while everyone else seems to be announcing their unplanned pregnancies. I like to think that most of them are planned but they just say they aren't because TTC is such a private thing.

    Good luck.

    Hi daisy!

    Welcome to BB!

While I don't have pcos, my best friend does (and still managed to have 2 kids born within 12 months of each other too! The loucky girl).

I hope you get your answers soon! And your sticky BFP!

There are several groups in here, so why not go and join the TTC 6+ Months thread and the PCOS/Endo discussion group, they may very well be able to give you some answers too!

hey Daisymags, I'm from Perth, and I've heard a little about Pivet - I heard they were pretty good, but other than that - no idea. I don't have many friends who are trying for babies
