Red face New to TTC and have a few questions!

    Hi everyone

I am new to this board and to TTC. Might be a long-crapped on post - so please forgive me!!

I got my IUD after 2 years of having it, on 29 January. I know it takes some women a few months to get the hormones out of their system and back to normal, I just think I am a little impatient to know whats going on with me :P

I have been using OPK's and temping. I am now on CD 16 and 5DPO as far as FF tells me.

    My Chart: hazelmccann Ovulation Charts

I never seem to have enough sleep from about 4am - 6am, when 6am is my normal temping time. I also have been turning my fan on in the middle of the night, not remembering, and waking up shivering. This will affect my temps right? So although it definitely showed 3 temp rises to confirm ovulation, the past few days are all over the place and I haven't even charted the past 2 temps.

I had positive OPK's on CD 9 - CD 13. FF says I ovulated on CD 11. I had lots of cramps and twinges around this time.

What I am worried about, is maybe I didn't ovulate?? Is it possible to have OPK +'s around ovulation, have 3 temp rises and not ovulate?

Since my past 2 days temps are all over the place, I don't know whats happening and I don't want to get my hopes up thinking this month is a possibility if I didn't O at all.

Sorry for rambling!! Any advice is appreciated

Just to add, I have also been having twinges and pulling the past few days (maybe still trying to ov or something?) and my nipples are sooo sore. I never have this when AF due, thinking probably all the hormones from IUD?

Its all so confusing at the beginning! You would think after 2 children I would know what my body is doing a little though the other 2 were beautiful surprises

Hey MrsMC - LOL about having 2 kids already and not knowing what you are doing! That is perfectly normal, particulary when coming off contraception. Firstly, your chart looks good. Although the temps are a bit over the place, the OPKs, CM, cramping and so on all seem to fit. It is unlikely that you didn't "o", it is probably not that clear on the chart on account of the temp-taking issues you mentioned.

I had a GF very similar to you, came off the IUD, and was charting (was her 3rd time too) and her temps were all over the place. Her DH wakes up early to go to work so she would sort of wake up but had trouble taking temperature. Then later when she woke up and took it it gave weird readings on the chart.

Having said all that, she got a BFP on a cycle that said she hadn't even "o"d.

Therefore go with the other symptoms. Dont' worry about the cramping and twinges. I think this is partially the egg follicle doing its thing - secreting LH I think in case of implantation. You will be more sensitive to these niggles because 1 you are trying and 2 you have just come off BC so there will be new changes.

I am not sure if I have helped, other than to say good luck! If you don't catch the egg this time, it looks as if everything is working nicely anyway so hopefully it wont take long!

    Good luck

Thanks so much for your reply Dragonbub, its nice to have some encouragement! I post on another smaller board run by a friend and there is no-one else TTC there and my posts don't get read!!

I am so sure I have O'd, my body is saying it did, so I will go with that for the time being LOL.

Temping has been so frustrating for me!! Tonight I think I will try sneaking to the guest room in the early hours and trying to sleep peacefully there from 2-6am, it might help.

    xxx
