    No idea

    i have a conception question. cycle is approx 29 days. if I'm on day 12, and my period predictor on iphone says ovulation is day 16 and dh and i had special cuddles last night (and we not using anything) and doesn't withdraw (ok i know this is sounding a little to intimate now sorry) is there a chance that i could become pregnant? not that it worries us either way been thinking about it all day and not sure. i mean i guess ttheres always a chance but where normally extra careful int eh 'fertile zone;

    Does this make sense???

    It could be. depending on when you will actually ovulate. Keep in mind that sperm can stay alive for 4 - 5 days. and an egg 24 hours. so if you BDd on cd12 and O is cd16 then yes, there could be a chance but it depends on many many many factors other than BDing too, like acidity etc. really ALL possible factors (could be 100s) have to be right at that exact time and even if the egg is fertilized by his sperm, so much can still go wrong, egg could not implant, or could implant but uterine lining sheds anyway you name it

    just going to have to wait it out. try to not stress too much about it. see what happens if its not the worst thing that could happen in the world i suppose whatever happens is ok

    5 days is really a long time for sperm to live. They *usually* live 2 days in the most fertile mucus, anything less than optimal and they can last as little as a few hours. So I don't think there is a very big chance of conceiving from sex 5 days before O, though it's not impossible.

    It really depends on when you ovulate. If you do O on day 16 then yes there is a chance as sperm can last up to 6 days. Then again if you don't actually ovulate until day 19 then you wouldn't have a chance. Unfortunately the phone apps only estimate the day based on an average of 14 days unless you know what length leutal phase you have (from O to AF) you will always only be guessing.

    it sounds like you don't want to get pregnant - sorry if I've misinterpreted.
    So if you don't want to get pregnant, it would be better to get the contraception right, rather than worrying or trying to avoid conception - really women have got pregnant at all different times during the month, so the only way you can avoid getting preg is to mke sure you are protected- I'd go to the dr if I were you babe and get the pill or something.

    We do but we don't if that makes sense

    I mean we want another baby and if it happens now great but another year from now awesome.

    Both DH and I are happy with how things are 'contraception wise'

    Just putting it out there with a theory.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!

    Do you mind me asking whether it was a result of your CD 12 special cuddles? Or did you snuggle later in the cycle?

    Sorry, not prying into your sex life just wondering from a scientific point of view!!!
