Now 15dpo (estimation) and late AF

And I am usually on a constant 29 day cycle. This month however, I have managed to make it to 15dpo as opposed to the 12dpo I am accumstomed to!!

DH and I have been ttc since November 07, and I have been off the pill for three cycles now. I have never had irregular periods, before the pill that is, and well the first TWO months coming off it were perfectly fine - like I say, 29 cycles on the dot.

I have tried several HPTs that I had bought for the occasion a month ago and all unfortunately have come up with a disappointing negative result

I am wondering whats going on, and waiting, and hoping that by some miracle this month we are pg. Its strange because this month I had no hope of it whatsoever, and was just waiting for AF to come so i could get on with it and start next cycle. Now, four days late, (if af doesnt come today that is), I have hope that somehow it happened for us.

Im going to by a more sensitive test today, and hopefully try it in the morning. If its a negative I will be really disappointed lol.

Anyway, just letting u guys know Im here and stalking... hopefully I have a bfp soon!! aarrrhhh!

Hey art, I know its all very confusing, I`m 19 dpo but I`ve been having 33 day cycles. That was last year, this is my first full cycle after miscarriage in Nov so I`m not sure what to think.
I done a HPT at 15 dpo and got BFN.
I hope AF stays away for you and you get your BFP, best of luck...

    Hi Onemore!!

Well, AF turned up for me yesterday! I have to say, I am glad about it because it means all those negative results were real (lol), and that my cycle was indeed just playing tricks with me. I had a 33 day cycle as opposed to my 29 day cycles that I had for the first two months off the pill.

So if this says anything to any of u ladies - it is that u really do have a hard struggle sometimes with the pill effecting your body even a few months after u had stopped. I wish now I hadnt been on the pill, but rather tried something like "Implanon" instead. A friend of mine started TTC the month after I did, and her implanon was removed, within a month she was up the duff! Seems less invasive and annoying as the pill is. grrr

So, another month ahead of me! I have a good feeling about March!

    Good luck everyone!

    Hey Art,

Just wanted to let you know that I have just gotten a BFP this month (now 4 weeks and 5 days) and I was on the pill for over 10 yrs and this was only my second cycle of TTC off the pill so dont give up hope it can happen and the pill doesnt muck you up as much as you may think!

Hope that gives you some hope!
    Cheers

    thanks kafer_girl it does!!

Yeah there are so many stories out there of good and bad things in relation to ttc that I think it all gets to u and u have a hundred things running thru your head instead of just chilling and letting it happen! hehe

Oooh Im so happy to hear about ur bfp and I'm hoping this next month coming is our lucky one. I plan to start using Preseed this month (tried it last month but only a trial pack), and to use the Nyall Chesty Cough Syrup (apparently thins out cm and you are suppose to take it a few days before ovulation)... what else hehe, uhm hopefully just stay positive this month!!

Good luck everyone and thanks for all your responses

Art you are better off taking Evening Primrose Oil (3 x 1000 mg caps a day until O) than taking the cough syrup route (btw it's actually Robitussin, not Nyall). The cough syrup has been linked to birth defects/miscarriages. EPO works really well (as does drinking a lot of water each day, aim for 2-3 litres).

Thanks Sally I'll take ur advice!! The active ingredient in Robitusson is actually also in the Nyal Chesty Cough - so I was told by other ttc-ers But thanks very much for your advice.
