What type of Symptoms did You have before finding out you were Pregnant

Hi All,

I thought it would be a nice discussion, to throw out there the symptoms you had before finding out you were pregnant. I thought us ladies TTC at the moment would find it interesting on all the different or same symptoms that you had or didn't have. Also how long it took for a HPT to show positive for you?

hi to eveyone well recentlly had a HPT that shoewd up at 3 weeks and 4 days it ended in an ectopic pg but i new i was pg as i had the sorest boobs ever and my skin went quite dry.very interesrted in hearing some other stories

I was so tired and the thought of food made me sick.I also felt dizzy.

Then realised I never had my period last month and did a HPT.I was 5 weeks and had a blood test the following week showing I was 6 weeks.

We had an ultrasound at 8 weeks and found out we were having twins.....

DH and I TTC'd for four months and the month I got my BFP was the only month I DIDNT get any symptoms! So hopefully I can offer some comfort to those of you TTC'ing who are in the terrible TWW and not experiencing any symptoms. The only weird thing that occured (and still have now at 18 weeks) is a lot of burping after eating.

i felt sick and dizzy but thought it was gastro that was going around at work but nope i was pregnant.. and also i had massive pain when we DTD(sorry TMI!!).. i was 5 weeks when i found out..

Smithy - So sorry, I too didn't know that you m/c especially with an ectopic pg. Hugs. How are you? I hope you are ok.

PC - Thanks, I thought alot of women out there would be very interested in this topic. Was your globby cm cloudy?

Pansy - Wow twins congrats. How exciting.

Tonydayl - Isn't it amazing how you can get no symptoms whatsoever. I used to get alot of burping and hiccups when I was pg too.

Maddysmummy - With my first pg, I knew I was pg straight away. A few weeks before AF was due, the smells of eggs would get me. With my DS tho didn't find out I was pg until 5 wks, he is now 15yrs. With my second I bloated and had heaps of headaches, but had no m/s just the headaches. Found out with that DS when I was 5wks. With my oldes DD was headachey again with slight nausea, and found out I was pg at 5wks then too. With my youngest DD, found out the day my AF was due, only the symptoms were just slight nausea and some headaches as well, oh with both dd's had this flu that would just stay with me, wouldn't get worse or better. Just this cough that woudln't leave.

One of my symptoms was that I was dizzy a little bit, tired all the time and feeling rather sick, had mega mood swings and a strong sense of smell. Took a test, came out positive and two days later I m/c'ed.

I'm now feeling three of those symptoms again and I m/ced three weeks ago - here's hoping I'm feeling the early pg symptoms!

Hi Chery here is a fun thread I started when in the tww with DD. It turned out lucky for a number of the gals who posted their symptoms To all those in the 2ww - Anyone want to share imaginary symptoms

ohhh Saram - What a great thread thanks for that, I am so certain all these lovelly ladies will get a kick out of it. I haven't even gone to the next page yet and I was already laughing.

I have to say, I did forget that metallicy taste in my mouth when I was pg with twins, which I had later lost. I also had a very dry mouth in some of my and dribbled whilst sleeping with my DD's. Chocolate cravings, always get that, hehehehe. At the moment tho have this dry mouth that I just can't get rid of. Maybe if I drank more water it will go away......

Now I have been thinking about some other symptoms I used to get before knowing that I was UTD, and the dreaded breakout of pimples.

Hi All, I'm new and thought this was a great thread to post in as I'm in my TWW! I'm on day 36 of 35 day cycle (don't know how to get my ticker to reflect that!) and I have headaches, a few cramps and a strange sort 'blood' taste in my mouth - is that the metallic taste you're talking about? I've done two HPT and both have been negative so hoping I tested too early!

Hi jess_i welcome to BB. I hope that your time at TTC is a short and sweet one. It could be just to early, it may not even show a pos until a week late. So hang in there its not over until AF arrive. I don't know if I could say a blood taste, maybe like you have been sucking a coin. How long have you been TTC? There are threads that are really great for differant time frames such as 0-6months TTC. All the ladies there are great. Look forward to seeing you around, and hearing that you have a BFP.

Thanks Csab - yeah, it's similar to the 'coin sucking' taste!!
I'll check out those threads you mentioned - have only been TTC for first month so I guess that explains why I'm so eager for symptoms!

Well I needed to pee lots, felt really hot all the time when everyone else was freezing (it was july), had lots of cramping, found it hard to concentrate and was really vague and forgetful.. anyhow found out I was pregnant a few days later!
