    Opinions please

Hi... I am at the hump phase of the TWW, funny little symptoms and not sure whether I am looking into everything over nothing. Today I decided that it's time to let it go, you really might not be pregnant this month just let it go, that was until (TMI ALERT) I was hoping in the shower and saw something in my bra, wet patches and some patches where the fluid had dried. So of course I squeezed and yes there was some clear liquid and milky white. So what is it? Could it be related to being UTD, I gave up breastfeeding 8months ago could it still be that....

Just when I was about to stop looking at symptoms and relax till AF no show in a week time I get this..... What is your opinion???

I still had milk months and months after finishing bfing DD. I tended not to squeeze so I can't be sure of exactly how long I still had some milk, but it was at least 8 mths or so that I last noticed.

It wouldn't be linked to pg as far as I know, since many Mums are still bfing when they fall pg and would continue to have milk early on, regardless. It's my understanding that the hormone changes that affect milk production won't usually happen until later in the pg.

But now you've squeezed and your nipples are probably feeling a bit more tender - you'll have another symptom!

I'm a symptom spotter sceptic . Those changes won't happen for months and months if they are pregnancy related. I had continued lactating for more than a year after I finished BF DD1 and it turned out to be a prolactin issue. If it is copious, go speak to your GP .

hahaha that's my thought too, even though they were a little sore already but now, yep another symptom ha!!!! THanks for the reply, I know I had it for about 6months with the other 2, 8 actually almost 9 seems a little long. I was wondering whether it could be hormone related, not milk.... anyway, just be patient and wait ladybird!

I've had this during the TWW and unfortunately it wasn't a pregnancy symptom for me. I know how hard it is not to analyse everything - hope this is your month though!

THanks Maruschke, I have been trying to not be pulled into the swing of symptom checking this month, it really is not a healthy place for me to be, looking and wondering etc. I can't believe you had milk there for so long after. As I said above i was wondering whether it was hormone related because it actually hasn't been there in the last few months, and for it to leak it had me wondering what on earth it could be! I will see someone if it continues, thanks for the reply!

Cheezelmonster- Thanks for the reply, what will be will be, I can't change anything and I know this deeply, but at times I need to be reminded to go back to that place of trust. Thanks

Hey hun, just wanted to reply here and let you know that I too still have "milky" stuff come out of my breasts (I stopped BF'ing in May 2011 (so about 5.5 months ago). I don't squeeze it very often or anything but have noticed that there are times during my cycle when I get the "dry patches" in my bra too and then squeeze to see whether it still comes out and it does... not sure whether I am actually helping here, but I just thought I'd post that I get this too.

    Good luck!
