    OPK question

When using OPKs do you always get a second line, or only in the days leading up to ovulation? I know it is different for everyone so I'm after personal experiences with this.

From memory I only got a second line in the week leading up to ovulation and then it went away a day after I got a positive. Just a bit confused.

Hey Miss Em, I pretty much always have a second line, especially if I use the expensive kind from the shop or chemist. Internet cheapies I almost always have a second line too although they're usually a bit lighter. HTH. Good luck

Hi there Miss Em - I always got a faint second line throughout my cycle, stronger in the lead-up to ovulation and then bam - a positive (usually on ovulation day though, not beforehand). Can sometimes depend on the brand. What do you use?

I use the lullabye conceptions ones. I only ask coz I did an ovulation test the other day and it came up with a strong second line, but not positive opk, but I'm on the pill which suppresses the ovulation hormone, so I shouldn't get a second line technically coz the hormone shouldn't be present?? I thought it was a pregnancy test but found out it wasn't after I took the test.

Not yet. Will be tomorrow though. I've heard opks can pick up pregnancy. Kind of hoping that isn't the case in my situation but hey, you just never know.
