Hello all, (I hope this is the correct section for my post) My DH and i have been trying to conceive for 3 months now and still no baby.....so thought this cycle i would try OPKs! I have a 35 day cycle (Aprrox) and got my first Positive OPK on Friday morning (CD16) and was positive for a couple of days untill about Sunday Night when it faded away. I know you ovulate anywhere between 12-36hrs after a positive OPK, Do i work it out from my first positive OPK or the last OPK? It still seems like it is too early to ovulate considering how long my cycle is? Any information would be appreciated?
I think everyone is different. Last cycle I had +OPT Friday, Sat and Sunday but didn't O till the Thursday so well and truely after the 24-36hrs like the box suggests. I did also get pregnant that cycle (had a m/c ) OPT are good but I would also use other methods to confirm O has happened like taking your temperature and watching your CM. I think for me the OPT prevented me from getting pregnant other cycles as we would BD with the +OPT thinking it was the right time and I would O soon after which in fact for me turned out to be 4days after seeing my last +OPT. GL hope you get your BFP this cycle.
I know its hard to say, but whenever i did OPKs and got a postivive i stopped testing...and took that as my first +ve therefore would O in next 24-48hrs...it will do your head in if you continue to test, well, it did mine. As soon as you see that darker line, start DTD and forget the rest....good luck !
