It depends on the cyst. I've had more ovarian cysts than I can count on my fingers and toes, it took 5 cycles to get pregnant and am due next week. I had a 3cm cyst on my right ovary at first scan at 5w3d (feared ectopic) which was a result of a previous cycle (it was 5cm at one stage) AND there was a developing cyst on my left ovary which was the corpus luteum from the cycle that resulted in pregnancy (does that make sense?)
All of my cysts have been follicular (the follicle from ovulation keeps growing) so clearly I was ovulating, and did not affect TTC or sustaining a pregnancy. These type of cysts resolve themselves and I've never needed to have them surgically removed. So it might be something else causing problems for you? There are different types of cysts though and some are sinister, I hope you get some answers.
