From what I understand it means you ovulate every second month, but I'm not 100% on that![]()
Hi everyone
I have a general ovulation question. Does each ovary take turns each month to release a egg - generally speaking? I only have one ovary (due to a 10cm cyst attached to it and both the cyst and ovary were removed together during surgery) and was wondering does that mean I miss ovulating every 2nd month or does the ovary just to double the work?
Thanks in advance
Mel

I don't know how it works with one ovary. With two ovaries they don't necessarily take in turns. I'm right dominant, which I know because of my scans each month when I was doing Ovulation Induction.
To check out your ovulation pattern you could do your BBT, if there's a sustained temp rise for about 2 weeks you've ovulated and then you'll know if your ovulating each month.
