    Default Ovulation Test Kits

    Hi all

I have used some ovunow Ovulation test kits in the past since my M/C. For my last cycle it didn't seem to show i was ovulating at all, has anyone ever had this?? What could it mean? AF is late at the moment.. so maybe this could all be a good sign

Also i just bought a ovuclear Fertility Tester (the kind you put saliva on) have any of you used something like this before and what was the outcome?

I bought an ovuclear saliva microscope the other day too and the day I got it I had partial ferning and then the following day and full furning so it will be interesting to see what happens this cycle. As for the opk's I was using them this cycle, got a faint line 3 days before what I now think was O and then a slightly darker line the following day and then no line the 2 days after (also had -ve's 2 days before my light =ve) but they say that the test line has to be as dark or darker than the control line so I don't know whether to put them as +ve since they where only faint lines, but in saying that I have NEVER got a true positive with this particular brand so I don't think I will buy this brand again. Good luck with testing, what cycle day are you on?

Hi guys.. just to let you know, a few gynies and fertility specialists have said to me the ovulation saliva things are a waste of $$$$ The only reliable way to find out if you are ovulating is through OPKs or temping... sorry to bring such a downer on it all for you! I have found OPKs and temping to be the best way of pin pointing O time... good luck

Just wanted to bump this up and ask about the ovuclear. Anyone think there would be any difference between it and the maybe baby? (Apart from price)

I was thinking of getting the ovuclear, but after reading Leis' reply, maybe spending that money on opk's would be better.

    What is everyone's experience's with the ovulcear/maybe baby/opk's?

hi ladies, came across this thread whilst doing a search and thought id add my piece. i have one of those ovuclear tests... got it about 3 weeks ago off ebay... i have been using it most days so far have only seen dots but there might be a good reason for the dots. I havent had AF for 9 months ... i had blood tests done last week.... waiting for doc to return from holidays to find out results, one more week to wait.... i am thinking i have a low progesterone level.... at the moment i am still testing but not getting my hopes up to see any ferning any time soon, well until i least find out what the heck is going on in my body.... going to go back to my naturopath after the 10th july with the possibility of trying accunpuncture.. anyone else had any luck with accunpunture bringing back AF and helping to regulate your cycle again? if anyone has been in similar situatuion i would love to hear from you!

I have a friend who was using a maybe baby and getting the right signals that she was ovulating, but was having no success. When she went to her doc and had some BT done the docotr told her that she had a level of 3 (of whatever was needed) and needed 20 before an egg would be released. Apparently those things are that sensitive, but no good if you aren't producing enough hormone to throw out an eggy.

Hi sasha28 - just saw your post. I am in a similar situation to yours as I haven't had AF for nearly six months. I have been to the doctor and have been on clomiphene and had an ultrasound, but it didn't do anything but produce alot of folicules, none of which were large enough to go forward as an egg. I thought I may have had poly cystic ovaries or something, but luckily I don't.

Anyway, with the side effects that you can get from synthetic based drugs I didn't like the idea of using them long term (I think you can only be on them for about 7 months)so I went to see a naturopath to get a different opinion. He tested me on a CEDS machine which can check any area of the body you elect using your accupuncture points. It turns out that my body hasn't been absorbing the nutrients in the food that it needs to O or even sustain a pregnancy if I was lucky enough to get that far.

Now I am taking enzymes and a raft of different vitamins to boost my system and get me regular again. I have also started taking false unicorn and vitrex which are used to regulate the cycle. Hopefully something will work for me this month. Never before have I been so looking forward to the date AF is due - at least then I will know I am back on the right track.

Hope all works out okay for you too.

hi donnejm, thanks for replying... interesting situation you have, i am hoping my situation will not be too complicated and that it is just simply one of my hormones outta wack... i think regardless my doc will send me for an ultrasound, hes very good like that, very thorough which I like!

When i saw my naturopath the other day she gave me some pills (they're called gynovite) theyre like multivitamins but they have vitex and a few other herbs in them... she said to wait until i know exactly what the blood tests show before taking anything specific.... the waiting is hard, i just wanna know lol... oh well one more week... damn you doc for going on holidays haha... will let you know how I go....
