last cylce when i did tests i get a very faint line for 2 days and then a very dark line for 2 days. when is it best to bd the light line or leave it to dark.
IMO I would be BDing every second day until you get the dark line and then maybe every day until you stop getting a +ve. I have had varied results with ovulation tests so I'd hate to miss out on catching the egg because I was trying to time it just right. That the beauty of BDing, there's no limits on how many times you do it hehehe! (within reason for sperm quality I guess!)
When you 1st get a +ve result on the OPK you assume you will ovulate 12-36 hours after that. A faint test line is a -ve result. You'll be fertile for 3-4 days before the dark line first appears and then for 24 hours after you O. So I'd be BDing daily for the 4 days before the +ve OPK and then for another 2-3 days after that just to make sure the whole fertile window is covered. Remember with most OPKs the result is considered +ve if the test line is darker than OR equal to the test line.
