Hi.

I had a full pelvic Ultrasound not so long ago. I have only ever had two and they were pretty similar, but I'm sure that other BB ladies will have had more varied experiences.

I went to a specific Women's Diagnostic clinic and the whole process took about 2 hours. Firstly they did an external u/s across my belly and kidneys. For the internal they used a probe which was not too thick and said they will only insert it as far a tampon would go. They then move the probe left to right and up and down to capture images at different angles. Not in and out, so not much chance of anything being dislodged IMHO.

It is not all the way inside you, does not need to be. If you are concerned ask the sonographer lots of questions - they should explain everything in lots of detail so that you feel 100% comfortable.

HTH!
