Exclamation Period like bleeding??? Um help??? **tmi**

So, thursday i had spotting (cd10) and this morning i had spotting too (cd12) I have had a +opk since cd10 - just now, i went to the toilet and there was blood RED FRESH blood from top to bottom of my hand basically.

I've also been getting niggly cramps from thursday - but i thought it was just O time (sometimes i do get cramping around O - but NEVER bleeding!!)

IS THIS NORMAL?? COS IM FREAKIN OUT HERE!! I've never even spotted around/during O so um yeah, im a bit freaked out.

as an FYI - In addition to my supplements, this month I have been on a liquid from the naturopath.

Can someone tell me what on earth could cause this??

I've never had spotting or bleeding around O time either, but this time I think I did.
I had a 2 day bleed I though was AF, then found out I was pg, so thought it might have been implantation, but according to u/s results the bleeding was the same time I concieved, so I've put it down to ovulation bleeding. I don't understand at all, I don't know how I can concieve & bleed at the same time, but apparently I did...

ETA - I had bleed around 13th Jan, got BFP 9th Feb, BT showed I was about 7 or 8 weeks on 13th Feb (if bleed was AF would've only been 4 weeks), u/s showed 8 weeks around a week after BT. Still confusing though, huh...try being me! lol

oh Confusing much for you!? Gee's, when you think you know your body, it throws somehing at you! Congrats on ur bundle nice surprise im sure

I called my naturopath, and he told me it could be my body cleaning itself out or it could be a random 'ovulation bleed' ... Im definately going to keep an eye on it!

Oh Im still a little freaked out about the whole thing

Hope its just a one off for you, or that it was successful for you as mine was!
I was still BFing DS & AF had been 6 - 8 weeks apart for over 12 months, then I started bleeding every 2 weeks. I was off to the gp to find out what was going on when it stopped... still didn't consider pregnancy, lol!

Hi there, I am reading a book atm that says that you can have mid-cycle or ovulatory spotting for a day or two around ovulation. Aparently it is considered 'normal' and it's a secondary fertility sign that can indicate a sudden drop of estrogen and tends to occur more often in long cycles. Considering you have had a + OPK I would say this is what it is. The author goes on to say that if there is fertile cervical fluid that is tinged with brown, pink or red colour it is considered extremely fertile.

Another explanation is that it could be an anovulatory cycle (no ovulation). I don't believe this would be the case for you considering you had a + OPK

clover - Fingers crossed it is just a one off!

chichi - the spotting i had on friday was tinged pink with CM, so i didnt really think anything of it. but today's blood freaked me out cos of the amount! but i have been reading a bit on google that it is normal and if it last too long to see a Dr. so hopefully it doesnt last days! I am getting little twinges of cramping, so hmmm ... who knows. I think for now I'll put it down to Ovulation

Rhichichi - what is the name of your book? Maybe I will look at getting one

Out of curiosity - because i spotted yesterday and on Thursday - does this mean the chances of conceiving increases? I know it may sound silly, but I'm curious to know LOL as you mentioned previously it is an extremely fertile period. So i am right in making the assumption that when i was spotting i would be 'more fertile' than the other months as I have not spotted before? does that make sense?
