How long prior to TTC did you have your Mirena removed? How long did it take to fall?

I can't answer (still have mine) but will be watching - i'll be having mine removed next summer for ttc!

Hi there, just had my mirena removed on 18 dec. Had it inserted in feb at 6 week check after my daughters birth. It perforated my uterus and had to be surgically removed from my abdomen. We r trying for #3 right away so will let u know! Fingers crossed.

i had mine removed 7 months ago AF was due today fingers and toes crossed that it does not come

We tried to TTC right away just had no got the charting thing down as we did not want to for the first few months

I had my Mirena removed when we decided to start TTC (mid May '08)and I was fortunate to fall straight away (i'm due late Feb)...

Shocked, but fortunate :-)

Hiya, I had my mirena taking out after three years at the end of march due to increasing side effects and at the start of may went on the pill. I have just found out that I am pregnant -big shock to say the least!!. So not only does your fertilty come back it comes back with a vengance. I have endometriosis and had to have surgery 12 yeras ago to be able to have my children and add to that I am now 36 and on the pill!! and it still got through!!!.
I found out just over two weeks ago when I went to my Dr with a chest infection, I'm still coming to terms with it all.

I going to get mine removed in the next couple of weeks.. When in your cycle should it be removed? should it be when you have AF??

Hiya Mrs T,

Mine wasn't when I had my AF and I had such a nasty case of thrush at the time (another of Mirenas fun side affects) and I went in and demanded it come out. It wasn't painful at all despite the thrush so I don't think it really matters.

hi there! i m so paranoid all ive read on the net is that getting preg straight after mirena removal ends in miscarriage!!! im devastated, whats your experience??

people simply would not use them risk would be fair to high
