    Thanks girls.

At 3am this morning I woke with severe cramping and took myself off to the casey hospital. They were great. They straight away put two iv lines in me and put me on a drip, as they were pretty sure I had an eptopic pregnancy. They did a blood test and it showed my hcg had gone from 14 on Sunday to 41 today. So that was the first positive. Then they did an ultrasound which showed no evidence of a pregnancy. They said that this could mean its really early days, which I am pretty sure it is. THe ultrasound did show that I have a cyst on my right ovary and it has made me very tender and in a lot of pain. My ovary is about double the size it should be. They said that I have to look out for nausea, vomiting, doubling over pain and fainting and if I have any of those symptons get myself straight to hospital as the cyst has ruptured. Also I have to have hcg bloods taken every 48 hours until I get to 2000 and then I have to have a repeat ultrasound. They are thinking the pregnancy may have planted itself where it shouldnt and are telling me to not get my hopes up. THere are a few worrying signs. So for the next few weeks its going to be a matter of seeing what happens. I did another pregnancy test today and its still positive. Anyway, I am home and ok. I am on painkillers to take the edge off. I went to my gp this afternoon and complained about the dr that I seen last night. She said they have so many complaints about him, so why dont they do anything about him I wonder??

Anyway, thanks again for your positive thoughts. Lets hope there is a happy ending!

My sister also found out she was pregnant and told me yesterday! SHe is only about 5 weeeks. Funny considering our last babies were born 2 weeks apart. WIll be interesting to see how this all ends!

Oh wow Kaz, what a stressful day . I had a similar situation in January of last year and it was so stressful not knowing for sure what is happening. You rest up as much as you can and I am praying for a good result for you.

kaz, great about your levels, sounds pretty painfull. i went to casey at 4am a few nights ago they they were terrible so glad you got treated better that me. The doc told me that "nothing happens after twevle weeks os you have wasted your time". he didnt even examine me or anything!!

gosh i hope this is it, sound like it's just the cyst causing trouble.

i have everything crossed for you

Thank Tali ... I will keep you posted if there are any developments. But I am not expecting to have an ultrasound for another 4 weeks. If my hcg levels drop, then that is a fair sign I am not pregnant anyway, but I will still have to have an ultrasound they said in about 4 weeks. Just to check if or what is happening.

I have been out and about today, I am feeling ok. The pain kind of comes in waves and then eases off. Gotta love panadeine forte!
