Oh gizzmo! Don't worry about the drinks! I had a blood test for this time around after AF was a week and half late and it was negative so I had quite a big night on the weekend after we got the BFN. Then a week later found out I was six weeks pg cos AF still hadn't come. Everything so far is fine (cross fingers). Lots of people drink in early pg because they have no idea they are pregnant and their bubs turn out just fine so please don't worry about that. Maybe you ovulated later than normal, esp if your AF is usually on the dot regular. Don't give up hope yet. I don't want to give you false hope. Am just speaking from my experience. If AF still hasn't come after five days, I'd get another test done. With Amy I didn't get a positive test until AF was five days late. HTH.
a beta hcg blood test will show up ANY hcg in your system - so if you come up with a negative result, you are not pregnant - you may O later and implant later, so get a positive result a bit later - but it is not possible to be pregnant and get a negative blood test. i ovulated five days later than they expected, so implantation was later, and still got a positive at the end of the TWW
if you were nine weeks along, there is no way you would still be showing as negative - it's not possible (unless you have a lab that isn't testing the right thing) - HCG levels rise exponentially from about 3 weeks to 10 weeks - and should be hitting peak levels. if af hasn't arrived, i'd say you simply didn't ovulate this cycle
Just removing my post as I must have misread your initial post. Thought you were saying that you thought you had just had a BT & it was showing negative at 9 weeks.

if you had IUI - even if your body delayed ovulation and implantation, you would have shown traces of hcg by the end of the tww - as i mentioned, i o'd approx five days after the IUI (if our scan dates are correct) - perhaps even longer - even if you go that late, you are almost guaranteed to have traces of hcg by the end of the tww. if you didn't and AF hasn't arrived, there are two options - either there was no egg to ovulate, so ovulation and the resultant hormonal variations didn't occur - or you o'd late - but i'm guessing there is no way you'd have gone this long without at least a HPT - if you're truly concerned, go get a test - if you conceived from that IUI you'll get a strong second line
from what has happened with me (i have no cycle at all without help) i'd say ovulation didn't happen and you're back at flat line levels... sucks to thing negatively like that, but having BTDT, it's the most likely outcome
Just want to say that by 9 weeks you'd normally know that you were pregnant even without a test. Most women would have some sort of symptoms by then - at the very least sore BBs & tiredness. I hardly got any symptoms but still felt a little different by then - off certain foods - unable to take vitamin tablets without gagging, tired, bleeding gums & stuffy nose.
If you are having symptoms that you think could be from pregnancy then use a HPT. If not then I'd say it's more than likely that it's just AF showing her ugly head just a little later than normal.
Thanks Satya
I will say that I have been very tired (by 2pm i neeeeed a nana nap) and very emotional, Crying over everything.
I dont usually do this but I was thinking it may be the hormones working there way out of my system.
Hey BG,
AF has still not arrived.
does that mean no egg was released. I dont really understand it cause this has never happened before. I took clomid and then decided not to do this cycle so I didnt have the trigger or anything. Could this be why AF hasnt arrived???
Cheers NikW
Well i am very doubtful as we did the IUI at our clinic. and I cant imagine it can stay alive for that long.
If i am it is truley a miracle We are planning to start again in April
