    Ques to ask ob??

    Hi girls,
Don't know if this is in the correct section. Am 11dpo and got a very faint BFP this morning ( yay! it will stick). Have ob appointment for wednesday. Question is what do i discuss with him??
What have other mums-to-be ( love how that sounds ) discussed with their obs? Thanks guys. As you can see, I am totally clueless!
    Lots of babydust to all.

wow you got in early with your OB!
COngrats I hope it is a sticky one!
At my first OB appt last time (but i was about 14 wks i think) I asked about the results of tests I have already had and also what the process would be from here, what to expect from her, how many appts etc etc.
I also asked about what to do if i needed to get in touchw ith her etc,
I had already looked into her backgrounda bit in terms of how interventionist etc... but i think there is a list on here of q's to ask that may be useful if this is a concern
I left discussions re birth plans etc to much later.

Hi Belle and CONGRATULATIONS on the BFP!!

good things to go in expecting to be asked about (or do the asking) is for the NT scan (ie when and how and where to book one in). most OBs have a clinic that they like you to go through just for ease of getting reports etc etc.

also the BIG questions are over the hospital. where you will go and getting ALL the forms (there are usually loads of them).

they also may ask if it's your first pg, how old you are, etc.

sometimes they ask your partner questions too! my OB liked getting to know us both...

they may also ask what supplements you are taking and may give you some booklets on safe/unsafe foods (ie ways to avoid contact with listeria).

they may also give you a schedule of appointments (just to give you an idea of what happens at each visit).

my OB gave us a folder with all our appointment stuff in it, to bring each time too. it has your fundal measurements, HB, bubs position (when you get to business end of pg!) etc.

oohh how EXCITING!!! you'll see loads of gorgeous round bellies when you are there...something to look forward too!!

    good luck!

All those replies are great. I actually found that I got more advice on here than from doctors. If you are not sure what to expect I am sure any of the gorgeous ladies on her will help you.

I hope that you have a great appointment and congratulations. I hope it sticks for you too. Sending you :stickyvibes:

The doctor might make you do another pregnancy test while you are there so try not to go to the toilet beforehand.

Sorry girls. I've been MIA for a couple of days!! The idea of an actual BFP hasn't sunk in yet Thank you all for your replies. I agree with you wholeheartedly, Alibaby, I have learnt so much here!
