    Questionable.....

    Hi ladies,
I just need to put this out there to get it out of my head.

Recap: So I went off the pill in december last year as I had been on the Pill for 13 years and was getting scared that if I stayed on it for much longer, I might not be able to concieve. I have had 2 cycles since, exactly 28 days apart. Last months cycle was so severe with pain that I lived of painkillers and slept on the floor for a couple of days. We decided not to TTC until July, to give me time to get rid of the pill from my system, and my husband time to deal with the fact that its time (whole other story- I have a posting about this a couple of days ago). Although we arent trying, we are also being unsafe- no protection. Just the pull-out method (I know...I know...totally not a protective form!)

Today: My period is late....5 days late. Everytime I go to the toilet, I check to see if my period has arrived. Nothing. I had really light tummy cramps during the time where my period usually runs (wednesday to friday). And now- nothing. I am scared to take a pregnancy test- one because of the 'oh god, we might be pregnant already' factor and two because I have now gotten my hopes up of 'yay, we might be pregnant!' (I have wanted a baby for ages, and its in our plan to TTC soon anyway). I dont know what to do. I keep thinking 'yeah, my period will turn up. Just wait a bit longer. Dont take a pregnancy test. Dont get your hopes up'

I went to the doc a 3 weeks ago because I was feeling nausiated, dizzy (while at gym) and had massive headaches for a couple of days. And have had a cold since. She took a preg test and it was negative. Which also makes me think- 'No Im not pregnant'.

So what do you think.....what should I do.......

On a 28 day cycle, at 5 days late, 3 weeks ago you would have been ovulating (or there abouts) so a preg test would not register anything. But Now, a preg test would tell you one way or the other. And if it is neg, then you can wait for AF..if no AF, then a trip to the doc to check things out might be wise.

It is quite likely that your periods will be irregular and change as the effects of the pill wears off...I am not expert, but since the pill regulates and controls your cycle, it seems logical that your body is finding it's true rhythm.

I'd POAS - and hope you get the answer you want

I really think you need to do a pregnancy test because there is that possibility of being pregnant. I know its really hard i was there before i had my DD. I so badly wanted a baby, and although i wasnt on the pill but i have pcos and we also did the pull out method but one day we had an accident and i fell pregnant so anything is possible.

Do the test and you will know for sure instead of getting your hopes up more.

So to update you, I decided to do a preg test- it came back negative. I am still 5 days over due for my period. Not seeing any signs of it. I have had some slight cramping in my lower ab, some bad headaches, and a little bit of nausia but at night.
I spoke to a friend (who is a doctor) and asked if that negative preg test was it- the final word. She told me no, that I should wait another couple of days and do a test on the weekend.
I am soooooooo confused right now. I just want to know either way. Am I or am I not pregnant????

Well, here continues the waiting game..............
