The amount of CM you produce is very individual - everyone is differenet. CM is produced by the cervix and some of it will "travel" down and out This is what you observe externally. There might still be some CM present at your cervix (where you want it to be). Presence of CM does not necessarily mean you have ovulated. It is just a sign to indicate the fertile period of your cycle. CM is produced a few days before and in some cases, upto a day or two after ovulation. It usually dries up straight after ovulation though. It is merely an indicator that you are fertile and could get pregnant if BD is timed right ( 5 days before ovulation and day of ovulation - so your fertile window is 6 days per cycle). The idea is to start BD as soon as you see fertile mucus (creamy , wet or stretchy eggwhite). This is your fertile "window". After ovulation, the egg is able to be fertilised for 12-24hrs only, so the best chances of conceiving is BD before ovulation.

Don't stress too much. From what you have told us, seems like you may have caught the egg! Good luck and for you. HTH.
