    Regulating cycles?

I'm not really sure what I'm asking here so please excuse the rambling.

    The backstory...

When ttc my ds my cycles were 28 days and I had obvious O signs ie CM. It took a long time to get my bfp (18 months) but investigations revealed issues with DH's sperm so we commenced menevit and consulted a Chinese herbalist and 3 months later....celebration!!!

My period returned 6 months post birth even though I was still breastfeeding and my cycle was a regular 31 days with O signs again, especially CM. We commenced ttc # 2 in about July and were over the moon to get a bfp after only the second month. Such a relief after last time. Unfortunately it was all to good to be true and a missed miscarriage was discovered in late October. I had a curette immediately and my Ob did some miscarriage related blood tests. 6 weeks post d/c I saw my ob and he revealed high coeliac antibodies in my blood test results. Coeliac disease has links to miscarriage. I have since had this diagnosis confirmed via endoscopy. Since my miscarriage I have had two cycles 43 days and 37 days and am now on day 36. I have no O signs and am not pregnant. It's doing my head in

I am an absolute basket case. All I think about is getting pregnant, I'm especially fixated on being pregnant by May when my lost little JellyBean was due. In an effort to do something I'm off to my GP tonight to try and get some advice or help to get my body back on track.

So what I'm asking is (finally) for those who have odd cycles or perhaps needed help to ovulate, what did you do? Did i work? What do you recommend or not? Should I look at Chinese medicine again? what else?

Please no advice to relax, be patient, take a break, get drunk, have a holiday etc because I might just bite the head off the next person who says this to me oh and just to add to the whinge I also have the shingles (so my body is really ****ed) and EVERY person in know IRL who wants to be pregnant...is...all 6 of them...

I wasn't ovulating when I came off the pill after 10 years. Eventually saw a naturopath who put me on vitex (agnus cactus), and I ovulated the next month and bam, preggo!

Have you tried charting your temp to confirm whether you are ovulating? That's the only real way of knowing unfortunately, as cm and opks are not definite indicators.

Sorry you've had a tough time, it's stressful when your body doesn't behave as it should!

    Good luck xx

TTC sucks big time. I'd try vitex, it's relatively cheap and non invasive, and can help. Other than clomid (which requires FS monitoring) I don't know anything else.

A combo of acupuncture and Vitex worked for me. My cycles were pushing 37 days and now they're almost at 28. Once I was a bit more regular, I dropped the acupuncture and kept going with Vitex. I also think my PMS is less severe though I'm sure DH would beg to differ

    Worth a go - good luck x

Acupuncture and chinese medicine worked wonders for me. After 10 months of no AF coming off the pill, i sought help, and within 2 months I ovulated, and was pg on my second cycle.

Good luck with whatever you decide hun

Subscribing to the thread as my cycle is up the putt after DS2 and I'm considering acupuncture and chinese herbs (which I had during both pregnancies and it was fab). Glad to hear it works wonders to bring cycles/ovulation back on track.

I saw a naturopath & was put on vitex, it worked a treat for sorting out my cycle issues and we fell Preg successfully 4 months after starting it.
A friend of mine saw a chinese medicine man, she had similar issues with m/c & irregular cycles and fell Preg successfully 3 months later.
