Oooh, that sounds painful. I don't live in Perth, have you tried a Phsiotherapist? They may have one that you can hire rather than purchase and also give you some pointers on how you can help yourself to heal more efficiently.
If you need to, go to your GP and see if you can be put on care plan with a referral to a Physio so you can get treatment through Medicare.
