I have ripped my stomach muscles thatnks to having a bad case of broncullitus and all the coughing from it and noone will help me. I have tried all the chemists and even the hospitals but because I am not currently pregnant noone will help me, how is that in any way fair, I lost my baby at 7 weeks gestation 6 weeks ago and because this has happened now and not 6 weeks ago I get no help at all.
I know that what has happened now is not pregnancy related but does that mean my stomach muscles are any less important just because I am not pregnant right now even though i am trying, I am in so much pain because of it and they wont do anything. How can they be this cruel????!!
Does anyone know anywhere around the perth area that sells the support belts even when you are not pregnant?
All the ones I have tried do not and I really need one, I still have bronculittus and the pain it causes each time I cough.. I would rather be giving birth.
Oooh, that sounds painful. I don't live in Perth, have you tried a Phsiotherapist? They may have one that you can hire rather than purchase and also give you some pointers on how you can help yourself to heal more efficiently.
If you need to, go to your GP and see if you can be put on care plan with a referral to a Physio so you can get treatment through Medicare.
Try Mercy Physiotherapy. They are based at Mercy Hospital in Mt Lawley but are independent from the hospital and as they specialise in women's health they will see you regardless of if you are pregnant or not. The physios there are wonderful.
Ohhh you poor thing, I had torn stomach muscles from giving birth to DS and it was very painful when i didn't wear my bandage so i can empathize with you! I had a Elasticated Support compression Bandage which is like a Circular knitted ribbed fabric with inlaid elastic yarn and it provides support for soft tissue and muscle damage. I got mine from the physio therapist in the maternity ward at hospital but you can get them off the net (might just take a few days to arrive ) alternatively maybe see your local physio therapist centre and see if they stock and/or sell them. Also so so sorry to hear about your MC! I had one a few years back and it is a horrible experience and is probably still very raw with you but try to draw a positive out of a really crap situation - Try not to let it get you down and try to surround yourself with positive people who love and care for you. I know the health care providers don't really offer too much after care but if you are struggling there are avenues that you can take that are government based. For example the child heath clinic (in QLD mind you - i don't know if they have the same in your area) are nothing short of amazing!! When i had DS i suffered from a lot of physical and mental issues and needed a lot of support and i had a physiologist come out to my house once a week which was so very helpful to have someone to talk to! Alternatively you can always just pop on and have a chat with us!! Theres always someone to chat to and all the ladies here are absolutely amazing!! Sorry to ramble on but although i don't know you i would hate for you to suffer in silence! Good luck babe and god bless! xx
