semen analysis --help!!!

hi,
My husband just got back his semen analysis. we are trying to find a standard analysis on the net to make comparisons and explain some of the terms. his doctor says the sperm are sluggish. does anyone have or know where we could get one for guidance. Suggestion on how to improve the condition will be most welcome. the dr says to wait three month before doing another test but gave him no medications or anything Help hep help

Welcome to BB .. Inititialy I have to say all is not lost, heaps of husbands have had not so good s/a and gone on to have better ones.

Pop to the chemist tommorow and buy him Elevit, and my Fertility specialist said for my dh to take CQ10 as well, its in the health food shops.

What is the reading, I am sure someone can help...

not elevit WLAB...MENAVIT...Elevit is the ladies one!!

Def get some menavit hun......and at least three months on it before the next test.

I don't know much about Semen Analysis and can only explain what FS explained to us.

FS asked us to buy the following tablets and said they have to be taken daily by DH until I am pregnant. So here?s the list.

Centrum A -Z, 1 Tablet Daily
Co-enzyme Q10 - 100mg 1 Tablet a day
Vitamin E 1000 units 1 Tablet a day
Vitamin C 1000 units 1 Tablet a day

(Buying all these tablets are costly at $140.00)
FS said that taking all of this has been tested to improve sperm quality.

My XH got a "sluggish" result. We went on to have 2 children with no extra work. The only advice the doctor gave us was to DTD every 2 nights around ovulation rather than every night. Dunno if it helped anything more than my sleep though. LOL.

My DH had pretty crappy results too and he went on Menevit and we saw a chinese herbalist who gave (both of us) a tea to drink - three months later - our BFP!

There's lots that can be done - perhaps try a naturopath/chinese herbalist?

my partner had low count and only 10% viable sperm. We tried and tried and put him on menevit and i used an ovulation tracker and we abstained for 3 to 4 days prior to ovulation and walla we got pregnant! we were told we had no chance naturally but what do they know! i truly believe it was the menevit and just plain old timing.

there is also a herbal supplement you can get called herbal Y extreme a friend of mine who's DP had poor motility at 5% and was told her only chance of conceiving was IVF but to keep TTC anyway and the next motnh she was pregnant and he had been on the herbal Y for about 3 motnhs as well.
