    Should i take it? Diabex

So my FS prescribed some diabex for me to control my insulin levels. I had very high insulin resistance and have been reading about it.

    I also have PCOS.

Soo ... should i take it or just go on a healthy diet?

I am taking clomid as well and to be honest, feels like im pumping myself up with artificial drugs =(

What are the side effects? any tips?

    Thanks!

I took it. I have PCOS too. I found it really helped to regulate my cycle (was 90+ days then dropped to about 30 - 40 days). I've conceived twice now just with Diabex. Having said that, clomid should regulate your cycles too since it makes you ovulate so could be pointless. It should be combined with a healthy diet anyway otherwise, there's no point taking it IYKWIM.

Side effects - for me, mild nausea when I got to taking 2.5 tabs a day. I dropped back to 2 tabs & it was fine. Reduced appetite & a little weight loss (about 2kg).

    Good luck whatever you decide.

ETA: I was taking it for 9 months and 7 months before conceiving. DH also had a low sperm count.

I would take it in conjunction with a healthy diet. GL

I took diabex this time round and it took 5 months for me to fall pregnant with cupcake. I'm still on it now as there is also evidence that it reduces the risk of miscarriage.

I found that it really helped regulate my period as a pp said. Brought me to a 33 day cycle.
