    Should I test or wait

    Hey everyone,

I've mentioned this a little bit in my TTC Buddies group forum but I wanted other peoples opinions or comments.

I had an early m/c 4 weeks ago and my DH and I didn't cope with it very well because we are so desperate to start a family.
I was due for my af yesterday however there have been no signs of bleeding or af pains. I was experiencing what I thought were dull af pains over 3 days on Thursday, Friday and Saturday but they had disappeared come Sunday. Instead on Sunday I began to feel lousy and had minor nausea. This lasted for about an hour until I began feeling myself again. All of yesterday I was expecting my af each time I visited the ladies but absolutely no sign of it.

Yesterday morning as I was walking into work I felt a pressure down in my low abdomen and since then I've had dull sharp pains on either side of my abdomen. They only last from 5 - 30 seconds and then disappear and they aren't really painful but just more annoying. I'm also not feeling "normal" in my stomach right now. I wouldn't call it nausea but maybe on the brink of it? Yesterday I also began experiencing sharp headaches and I had to go to bed earlier than usual lastnight because I felt extremely tired. This morning I can't decide if I'm tired from not enough sleep or it's a different sort of tired.

I'm confused on whether these are symptoms because of my m/c last month before I get my af this month or whether these could be symptoms of pg.

I almost tested this morning but I'm nervous about it. Are these symptoms more likely to be af or pg? Any ideas? And what do you think I should do? Wait it out or take a test asap?

Ahh I'm so confused... I don't want to get my hopes up!

Id test but id be the same way, very nervous about it. a test is really the only way to ease your mind and know for sure.

    Good luck for a BFP!

    sorry for your loss

if it were me, i would test, but i'd be so all over the place about it. it could be AF, i think with my m/c, i got my AF back around 4 or 5 weeks? so it could be that, but it does sound slightly suspiscious of pg. *fingers crossed* you get the result you want

hun, I know how it feels to not want to test just in case it's a BFN when all you really want is a BFP.

If you think you're far enough past O to get a clear result either way, testing will at least let you know where you stand.

Well I did something REALLY stupid! I couldn't wait any longer and decided to take a hpt... after work at 6pm... when my urine was extremely watered down... so ofcourse I got a BFN! So now I don't know if it was actually negative because I'm really not pg or it was negative because my urine was that watered down that it was completely clear. Has anyone ever gotten a BFP from an extremely diluted sample?

I wish I had just waited until my first morning toilet trip so it could have been a bit more accurate. Now I'm going to wait until the weekend when I can buy another test (if af doesn't show by Saturday that is).

I had very dull af pains yesterday morning and I could have sworn I would have gotten it today but still nothing! I think my body is just being a great pain in my backside! Oh well I have to just be patient and let whatever happens happen. I haven't been coping very well about this whole TTC business. My DH told me that one of his best friend's wife is 10 weeks pg and they only got married in January, 2 months after us, and they weren't even trying to have a baby yet!

So I had a cry last night after feeling depressed and I think that is basically why I couldn't wait any longer to poas.

Now what I would really love to know is... what is the best/better brand hpt? The test I took this afternoon was a Pregnosis and I'm not sure if they are even that good?

    ---

Just a quick update to my last post. We were just down at the local Coles and decided to buy a First Response test. I'm going to wait until either Saturday or Sunday morning and test again. Fingers crossed I get a better result than tonight. I should make a note to myself to only test on my fmu from now on. Even though the tests say you can test any time of the day I want accuracy this time around.

Good luck for the weekend, sorry you got the BFN tonight & I'm also sorry for the hurt you're feeling from the news of your DH's friend & his wife expecting without "trying" I know how much that hurts

Hoping for good news from you over the weekend xxx

    Hi Ash!

I'm disappointed to report that it was a false alarm. I got AF today so no BFP for me this month...

Hopefully it wont be too much longer before it's my time to announce a bub.

Hopefully next month is your month, hun. So you were right to hold off testing at least - plenty in reserve for this cycle now!
