I hope you get your BFP soon. If you've been trying for 12 months you could go and see your Dr who will be able to do some tests which might help you figure out if therre is an underlying issue.
As for stories - I have one that one of my Mum's friends told me. In the 70's (when they didn't have the same conception technology they do now) her and her husband were told that they had only a 1 in 1000 chance of getting pregnant. They were very disappointed but in those days you just had to live with it. 3 years later she got a BFP!! Then 5 years after that she had another baby and again in her mid 40's she had one more. She told me it's funny how often 1000 times comes around lol.
