I think Sylk is ok to use, or if you wanted to go natural I've heard vegetable oil is good too lol
Ok so I know about Pre Seed and we used it with Bella - but I O tomorrow and I dont have a spare $40 to get some sent to me..
We DTD last night and lest just say after a while the was to much friction! (sorry TMI) I dont get alot of CM when I O or for anytime for that matter! I kknow KY is not the best for the sperm.. Though DH went to the chemist (off his own bat - bless him!!) and the chemist said that its not that hindering for the little guys..
So what else is ok for TTC??
TIA

Thanks Janine!
Ill look into Sylk - not sure about the veggie oil!
Any one know if baby oil is ok?
I don't know about its friendlieness to sperm but I second the sylk recommendations! I believe its fairly "natural" so should be ok?
i third sylk!! great stuff, just dont use too much![]()
I googled sylk and it's all natural so I guess it's ok?? Can u get from chemists or super markets??
This is from Sylk's FAQ's
I think I remember them recommending pre-seed for conception (which is not helpful to you now i know).Sylk has a pH balance of 4.5 - 4.7, similar to the normal vaginal environment, i.e. slightly acidic. This is deliberate to keep the vagina healthy and not alter the balance. Sylk is not intended as a spermicide however, its pH balance (like most other lubricants) can affect motility, the movement of sperm and therefore should not be used if you're trying to conceive. When ovulation occurs, the pH balance in the vagina changes to around 7 which is a neutral pH state when pregnancy can occur.
Hi Jakabella
You can by Pre Seed in some chemists. I bought some more over the weekend. Copy and paste the address into your browser so you can look up and see if there is a chemist in your area that stocks it.

Thanks ladies! I asked on the sylk website and they told me it's a no go.. I'll have a look for some pre seed in my area.. I'm rural though so I doubt it.
Maybe some egg whites a go??
I've heard egg whites are good Jakabella, it's just the icky factor I can't get over lol
That's a bummer about sylk, I've conceived twice while using it, so I guess it's up to how far you want to go to optimise your chances. Good luck!
Thats good to know janine! As the chemist told Dh - no lube will stop you becoming preg just that they some time damage or kill off the sperm..
i am just so imaptiant and want to be preg NOW! LOL
I wouldn't use anything other than your own natural lubricant OR pre-seed. We're using pre-seed this cycle soit helps this month and we get our BFP
It helped last time when conceiving DD too! If only i'd used it from 1st month ttc this time but I was hoping I'd be one of those people that just falls pregnant easily but nope
I've heard baby oil is a big no-no....
I've researched this myself, and I've read that other than Preseed, Canola Oil is the best and most sperm-friendly... Kinda weird, but isn't most of these things we use to make things work better? Baby oil and mineral oil both actually often suck the minerals OUT of your skin rather than vice-versa, so I'd not use it personally since it likely wouldn't be sperm-friendly either.
If I need a quick fix, I do think I'll try the Canola as I have it... I'll see just how weird that is![]()
This is good to know, thanks. Have been using Sylk but might swap especially as we are trying to gender sway and it may affect the outcome.
