DH and I have been TTC for a few months now (and for a few months last year, took a break to get married).
As nothing seemed to be happening, I had an ultrasound which came back all fine, and DH did a seminal analysis on the weekend.
His results came back today (sorry if tmi..!). The doctor told him we have good and bad news. His sperm is healthy - lots of it and good movement - but it is too thick for the sperm to swim through to reach my eggs.
Firstly, I am SO relieved that the sperm is healthy! I had geared myself up for all sorts of disappoinment.
We have an appointment with the doctor next week, and she says she will have to refer us onto a fertility specialist.
Has anyone had similar issues, and if so, what are the options? I imagine something like artificial insemination?? And if so, how is this done and is it effective? Any advice/help is appreciated!
