    Subconscious fears?

Is it weird that I can very easily visualise myself being pregnant, but I can't imagine myself giving birth/holding a newborn in my arms?
Could this be a subconscious fear?
I can imagine being full term but no outcome..

Tubby I have the same "problem" at the moment. Even when I look at the bits & pieces we already have for the baby I cannot picture myself using them. I know I'm pregnant but.........
I hope you find some resolution / answers. And please feel free to share what you know

I was the same with DD and at that stage I hadn't experienced any losses or scares to warrant that feeling. Becoming a mother and birthing another human was a huge philosophical and conceptual leap for me- I couldn't get my head around it!

Thank you for your replies! I feel slightly better knowing I'm not the only one! Hopefully it's just our minds being silly and it holds no meaning!

    Subconscious fears?

Yep had them while I was pregnant. Just could not believe it was all real and keep thinking something would happen.
I have slight anxiety now that bubs is here, again it's all surreal and feel so protective of her.
