Hi, I'm an old member and haven't been around in a while, I'm after some advice / reassurance if I can please
I'm wanting to know if anyone has experienced pregnancy symptoms super early, like 1 day after possible conception?
I am not ttc, I don't have my cycle back since having DS2 (who has just turned 1), but today I have a terrible metallic taste in my mouth and a sore throat, however the sore throat is not like a cold/flu type of sore throat, it's quite different, like how it feels after something's been lodged in your throat. This was the first symptom I had when I fell pregnant with DS1 and the main reason I'm asking today.
I have not been using any contraception in a couple of months and planned on having the depo needle on Friday. Should I postpone this?
I know this all sounds pretty ridiculous, but I thought I'd ask anyway just to see if there are any other super early symptom stories out there?
I knew very early. From the first day I was due for AF. I would home test and If negative mention to GP before you get Depo that you may be pregnant. It is something they should ask and test for anyway before giving you the shot .
I would wait and postpone the depo, wait until after you test in a couple of weeks.
Are you sure it is only 1 day after? You can have fertilisation for almost a week really, so maybe it is more than one day?
I never had symptoms that early with any of my pregnancies, but had symptoms within 8 days with the twins (didn't realise what they were at the time, but hindsight is great! lol)
I would test (early as it may be) incase you're pregnant from your previous cycle(s). I'd then test every 4-5days until my next bleed, JIC.
I didn't know I was pregnant with my DS until towards the end of the first trimester! Needless to say my reaction was far from ideal, his conception wasn't planned and came at a cross roads in our relationship. We also had a 6month old DD. All the symptoms I had with the twins (DS was a single born live baby in the end, I miscarried his twin) I ignored because I still had a 'period' and never took notice of the symptoms. Like Limeslice said, hindsight is great.
Sometimes our imagination and fears can let us get worried, but to be sure, test-there's nothing more positive or negative than a decent POAS.
I hope that the results are what you wished for, and if not, what will be will be. xx
