Since going off the pill I always got brown spotting for a few days before AF and AF would arrive 24 - 48 hours after my temp dropped.
Hi everyone,
I'll put the TMI warning right here shall I??
I'm currently 11dpo and this morning I woke up with AF type cramps. I was expecting my temp to have dropped, but it was 37.1 which is the highest yet. This afternoon, I have noticed some light brown 'stuff' when I wipe and on my knickers. It looks a bit like light brown, creamy CM IYKWIM?? Cramps today have been really mild and on and off.
Now, I've never had a natural period before (well not since I was a teen), so I don't know what's normal or not. On the pill I only ever got AF cramps on the first day of AF (when I was bleeding) and got the brown discharge as 'she' was finishing up. I also have no idea about how long my LP is.
So, as no-one has a crystal ball and can tell me what it all means, I wonder if anyone can answer this: If it is AF coming (which I feel it is) when should my temp drop?
I was hoping to have caught the little egg but this is my first time that I have ovulated-ever in my adult life (PCOS)! So I'm thrilled either way!!
Thanks!

Hi peekay,
Glad to see your surviving your TWW.
What you're getting could be AF starting. My temp usually drops dramatically and then I get AF that same day. Having said that this last cycle my temp was still up when I got AF and then it dropped the following day.
What you've got going on could be normal for you or you could be pg.Probably a little late for an implant bleed but I'm sure its still possible. While your temps are still up and AF is not in full swing there's still hope.
Good luck. Keep us posted!![]()
Thanks ladies
My temp drop happened this morning. It dropped to 36.7 and my light brown spotting has turned into dark brown spotting this morning, so no pregnancy for me this month. While I am dissapointed (because now I have no excuse to get out of surgery) I am still really happy that I've even got AF by myself. I'm also happy because I was able to 'read' my body well and knew when ovulation was happening. I'm sure this will help me in the continued journey to TTC! I just need to hope that the metformin is working and I continue to ovulate each month
Thanks again principessa and satya- wish me luck for the surgery![]()
Good luck with your surgery & good luck TTC
Hi Peekay,
Wishing you all the best with the surgery - sounds like it is the best idea and will be one less complication to deal with. TTC with PCOS by itself is complicated enough.
Tell me - has the brown spotting turned red yet. The first AF after a while can be horrid - believe me - I know.
I wouldn't be confident that you have had a proper AF until you get the red flow. The brown could be AF gearing up but it hasn't quite started properly just quite yet!!!! Sometimes a sign that she is just around the corner!
I have had brown discharge whilst UTD. I think it is stays brown and you don't get red, it should be checked by a Dr to see what it is.
Good luck.
TICKLISH
Hi Ticklish!
Well I'm pretty sure I'll have a red flow in the morning or before I go to bed tonight. It's now still dark but more fluid IFYKWIM? I'm sure AF is just around the corner. I've had pretty icky cramps as well, which I must say I did not miss!
I'm actually happy that I'll be able to count tomorrow as CD1 as it will be 13dpo. I was worried when I started spotting that AF would arrive the same day, which would make my luteal phase quite short. I certainly don't need something else to worry about!
Anyway, surgery is next Thursday, and I will be on CD7. I'm hoping that I can have some sort of regular cycle nowand that the surgery stimulates ovulation as the gyno suggested
How's your cycle ticklish?
principessa, I hope that the clomid works again for you this month![]()
Hi Peekay,
I really hope that the surgery stimulates O. There is every chance that it will. Your ovary will probably thank you for it.
I was on the BCP for 7 years to give them a rest. That too can stimulate O for some women with PCOS after coming off it. It did for me! I was UTD on our first ever try - sadly we went on to lose that baby.
ATM I have had my third cycle of acupuncture. I am CD36 with no sign of AF, but I had signs that I O'd on about CD19 - so I am about 17DPO. Just working up the courage to test. My temps has been up for 15 days now and I feel so hot! Then again with PCOS I never know what my cycle will do!!!
I havefor you.
TICKLISH
Thanks ticklishAF has arrived in full force! I'm feeling quite happy and positive about everything though. It's a nice change.
Things sound really good for you! High temps for 15 days- that's great!! My fingers and toes are crossed! Let me know how you go!!
Hi Peekay,
Uncross your fingers and toes. Check out the new ticker! Just awaiting BT results to confirm everything is progressing okay.
I am so happy for you that you were able to predict O - really in this TTC journey with PCOS that is half the battle because really in the end when you do O - it is timing that is all important.
Wishing you all the best and keep me posted on how you go!
TICKLISH

I'm sending you lots of positive thoughts and wishes.
It renews my optimism whenever I hear of a pregnancy with pcos. I'm sure it will be my turn soon and I can't wait
I hope your pregnancy is a happy and healthy one so that you can enjoy the journey of bringing your baby into the world.
3 days to go until surgery for me and then fingers crossed that my body remembers that it CAN and did ovulate and does it again![]()
Keep in touch!
