Hi Irena,

A retroverted uterus is a uterus that is tilted backwards instead of forwards. And a anteverted uterus (which according to my OB/Gyn) that most women have, is tipped forward toward the bladder.

My OB/Gyn told me that having a anteverted or retroverted uterus has no effect on fertility and also told me that a tipped uterus (either way) will usually right itself during the 10th to 12th week of pregnancy.

I was told about 3 and 1/2 years ago that I have a retroverted uterus (tilted backwards) which my OB/Gyn has said could have been due to my endometriosis.

I don't think you should worry about it, however perhaps next time you see your doctor perhaps ask him/her to explain it to you for ease of mind.

I tried the pillow under my bum with my legs up in the air for 30 mins after sex and guess it helped/worked as I fell pregnant 2 times (unfortunately the first one ended in m/c).

Good luck on your TTC journey!
