    TTC - #1

    Hi!

DP and I have been TTC since Feb 07... but no luck yet
I have been trying to convince myself that we're not really trying as such but if it happens it happens (yeah right...!) I want it too happen so badly but each month I try and talk myself into the fact that i'm not pregnant...just so when AF arrives it's not as devastating...doesn't really work tho lol.
AF is due to arrive next Wednesday so here's hoping she doesn't make it...
I have been feeling a bit off the last week or so... very nauseus (sp?), high temps on and off, sore BB and a tad moody... So I am thinking I may just have a touch of the flu and the sore BB and moodiness means that AF will be arriving on Wed. Grrrr....

    Hi lil missy,

Your symptoms sound very promising. I hope you get your BFP this cycle.

I started getting cramps and lower back pain this morning... not quite as low as my AF cramps normally are and mostly on my left side or right in the middle... I generally starting cramping a week before AF is due... so although it's not quite a week until she is due to arrive... i'm guessing she will be on schedule Also feeling very light headed... which is not normal for me...

I'm also sooooooo thirsty today... no matter how much I drink I still want more...

Good luck, hope you get your BFP. DH and i have been ttc for 10 months now - it seems like forever, waiting for my AF as after next month if there is no BFP we are off to see the fs. Everyone's story may be different but we are all trying to achieve the same thing!!!

    Hmmm i'm a tad confused...

I went off the pill in November of last year and fell pg the very next cycle and then m/c at 6 weeks ((we then didn't really start trying again till Feb of this yr))... Every cycle after that AF has been on time exactly...as far as arriving about the same time on the day is due each month... But this month it was 2 days late and arrived this morning, which is rather strange..

For about the last week I have been feeling exactly like I did when I was pg last time ((and still feel that way today)) - nausea (just about all day and night) sometimes it's really bad and other's it's just mild, but i haven't actually thrown up yet, really light headed and dizzy almost constantly, high temps on and off all the time, very tender BB (my DP can hardly touch them and they hurt), swollen glands, and pains...almost like growing pains all over my tummy (but very dif to AF pain) on and off all the time, and very tired...

I know it sounds like I might have the flu or they're just AF symptoms... but they're not my usual AF symptoms and the only other time i've ever felt like this is when I was pg last time. We did a HPT last night but it came up Neg. But as I said I really do feel pg, so I did a few google searchs lol and it seems possible... and there are ladies on other forums claiming that they have had their first 3 AF's but have been pg... I dunno

But i'm so confused... is it all just in my head??

I hope you get your BFP very soon then fingers crossed for you!!!

I was convinced I was preg last month as i was dizzy for 3 days straight, peeing all the time, cramps and moody but turns out it was just AF arriving... it was ok because we aren't TTC just yet... but if i was preg I would have been over the moon with happiness!
It sucks because AF symptoms can mimick early preg symptoms too... but everyone is different....
If i were you i would do a HPT then if it's neg, try again in 3 days time then try again... you may be pregnant and the level of HCG won't be strong enough to show up on HPT just yet.... GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Do another test tomorrow with your first morning urine as it will be more concentrated. If it still is negative and you continue to get the same symptoms after AF has gone then see a doctor and ask for a blood test just to make sure.

Testing at night is not a good idea as it often wont show as it's not concentrated enough. How often are you you urinating and how much are you drinking? I ask this because I googled this yesterday and I found that diluted wee (from drinking heaps) or wee that hasn't been in your bladder for long (due to frequent urination) can cause a false negative. This can be a problem for ladies who get early symptoms.

The reason I googled it is that I've been going heaps myself (and had other symptoms) and tested on CD24 (yesterday) and got a negative. I will not test again unless my AF doesn't arrive by CD28. I'm pretty sure my AF is on her way now though as I've started to spot.

Cold weather can make you pee more too... it's been alot cooler lately (not sure where you are) but here in QLD it has been! So everyone seems to be going more often i've noticed... but don't let that dishearten you of course, you very well may be pregnant so good luck! Let us know how you go....!! my fingers are crossed for you
