TTC - 8 weeks post pill no period..and waiting.

One thing's for sure I will not be going on the pill ever again, its true they should tell you about as a side effect.

That's not the only reason why I chose not to go back on the pill!

Hey Becky - yes, you are certainly not alone!
I've been off the pill for over 2 years now and AF DID NOT return. That's because unknown to me, I don't appear to ovulate now.

Anyway after about 5 mths post-pill I started seeing Dr's about it - you don't (and shouldn't) have to wait a year! All the Dr's I saw said that any 'post-pill' effect should only last up to 3 mths, any longer and there is some other underlying issue.

If you still don't get AF in a couple of months I would definitely recommend seeing your GP for some blood tests to determine your hormone levels. Best of luck!!

Thanks for the advice Mrs P. I actually went to the doctor on Friday and she sent me for a blood test to see if my hormones are all ok. Will get the results this Friday so hopefully they are all ok. She was happy to do the tests as she did say it wasnt good that AF has not returned yet, no way was I prepared to wait for 1 year.
