    How soon do symptoms start?

    Hi
I was wondering how soon is it feasible to be getting symptoms? I am about 7DPO and have been very nauseas for the last 3days, in addition I have stomach cramps and tingly nipples. Oh and I am very tired. I can explain the tiredness by working too hard but not the other things - is it too soon for these symptoms and are they all in my head?

    Thanks T.

    Hi T,

I had that same question a few days ago. I am on 9DPO today and swear that I have alot of PG symptons. They look a little like this

    1) Felt AF like cramping for two days straight from 6DPO to 8DPO
    2) Still getting the occasional cramp, mainly at night
    3) Really bad indegestion from 6DPO. It is now mainly at night
    4) Nausea from 6DPO but settled a little now
    5) Extremely tired
    6) Emotional (It's not like me to cry in while watching a comedy movie)
    7) Sore lower back started yesterday
    8) Swollen BB's (not really sore though)

I could probably name a few more though alot are the same as AF signs. I have never been one to get any AF symptons let alone a week before they're due. If anything I would get very sore BB's which I don't have this month. AF is due on Wednesday.

I was convinced that it was too early until I read a pregnancy thread where she had the same symptoms as me at approx the same CD.

Let's hope they're not in our heads.

Are you having any other symptoms?

    G xx

When I was about 8 dpo I became very very vague and forgetful... very unlike me! In the following few days, I begain to feel tingly nipples and had some cramping too.
Good luck, i hope there a bfp for you in the next week or so!

When I was pg recently my only early symptom was being tired. I only noticed other symptoms after my AF was late. Then again I wasn't charting then, so I wasn't really paying any attention to what was going on.

Last cycle I had pg like symptoms in week 3 of my cycle that disappeared in week 4.

I've had symptoms from day 3 this cycle and am hoping that they actually mean something this time, but as my doctor told me I appear to be high in estrogen maybe these symptoms are caused by that.

3DPO emotional, prominent blue veins in bbs, indigestion & lower back pain. Broke out. These all must must O symptoms as that's way too early for anything else.
4DPO headache, nausea that night, lower back pain.
    5DPO indigetsion
6DPO slight cramping, sharp vaginal pain, volatile pimple, tender bbs, one stabbing pain left side under rib, feel like getting a cold.
7DPO emotional, irritable, blocked nose in the morning, left side abdo cramping, sensitive bbs.
8DPO bleeding gums when brushing teeth, emotional, cramps on left side continued, lower back pain, sensitive bbs.

All the experts say you can't get symptoms until after implantation so theoretically all this has to be in my head. I guess time will tell.

With my first pg, the first symptom I noticed was my sense of smell changed about 8 or 9 dpo - I remember I bought a coat from DJs and couldn't stand the smell of the plastic bag on the way home. The next symptom was going off food I usually liked - the next night we had rainbow trout and to me it literally tasted like dirt and I couldn't eat it. 3 days later I tested (at 13dpo) and got a bfp.

I don't remember any symptoms when I was pg with DD. With my last pg, it was a total surprise, no real symptoms until after I found out (at 15dpo) and it was only in the week following that I had crampy feelings. I would say that in all of my pgs that the crampy feelings are probably the strongest pg symptom and each time they have come after the BFP.

Seems like a lot of the time people have really strong early symptoms that AF ends up coming (I certainly found that last cycle!)

    I like reading this

I'm 11dpo and I have NO symptons. I'm on my 2nd IUI with injectables and this time last cycle I had every sympton imaginable, I have nothing right now. I just hope this means good. With my DD I felt sick around 14dpo for about 10 mins and I went home and tested and it wasn't until the 5th or 6th week that everything kicked in.

I am going to do a HPT tomorrow morning. May still be too early as I will only be 11DPO but was hoping for a nice mothers day surprise. Good luck to you Satya.....

The problem with early pg symptoms is that they can be so close to symptoms of AF approaching. And we can be so desperate to be pg that we can convince ourselves of anything - I became so hyper-sensitive I felt all sorts of things I would have normally just ignored and assigned all sorts of special significance to them!!!!! Having said that, I reckon I was getting early pg symptoms from about 10 DPO, about the same time that a very sentitive test MIGHT pick up elevated HCG levels. Good luck

BFN this morning at 11DPO. Still too early? Maybe. My symptoms are slowly diminishing though.

    Good luck Tess...

Sorry to hear about the BFN Georgi - it is probably too early to test though. I am going to hold out until next weekend when I will be 16DPO (unless AF arrives by then). My other symptoms are really moody and emotional (like really bad PMT) - I feel my symptoms are dimishing too but I have my fingers crossed for you (and me).

Hi Satya - those symptoms sound promising too - I will cross my toes for you that this month you get you BFP.

    Thanks ladies, Tess.

Hi Tess & Georgi - we all seem to be in the same boat... symptoms diminishing.... a small amount of cramping but that's all. I too did the HPT this morning just in case I could have some good news for mothers day, but as expected it was a BFN. I knew it was too early to test but could not help myself. I'm now convinced AF is on her way. From now on I've banned myself from testing early and will ignore any "symptoms" I feel in week 3.... I think it's just the surge of hormones with ovulation that are causing them.

    Good luck to you both.

Wow, I think that's amazing that we all seem to have diminishing symptoms.

Satya, i'm sorry to hear about your BFN. But it ain't over till the fat lady sings (I don't really get where that saying comes from).... I was feeling like I was out for this month, but now I feel more confident then ever.

Today, I made a comment to my cousin that my fingernails had become whiter & stronger for no apparent reason. We has a discussion about what could cause this, though came up with no solution. By fluke, I was reading some posts in the pregnancy symptoms - first trimester thread, when I stumbled across a post that said (I cut & pasted these from the thread)

My nails are so strong and are growing without breaking which is a difference for me as they always break!

    and

One thing not on the list that I have noticed both pregnancies early on.
My nails have gotten whiter, stronger and beautiful. I bent one back last week and it didn't break. It hurt alot but stayed in tact.

I had no idea this was a sign. I couldn't help but to ring my cousin & tell her.

Some of my symptoms are returning. Like the indigestion & slight cramping.

And the PMT symptoms... Oh my. Like never before. I can say I have never had PMT so bad or so soon either.....

Tess & Sayta, I have a good feeling about the three of us and I hope we will all be moving into the pregnancy threads together, and real soon....

    I think it's a omen.....

    for us all.

    PS Sorry for the essay.

I hope that good feeling is a good omen - I certainly need some good news at the moment. When is AF due for you? I think mine is due on Saturday so will test on Sunday if she has not shown her ugly head!!

Been getting cramps on / off all day so I don't think she will be late this month.

Still got my fingers crossed for you - and I cannot say I have noticed a change in my fingernails but hey we don't all get the same symptoms do we.

Hey T, AF is due on Wednesday. I was getting some cramping today, usually I get them the day before (if at all). So still feeling +++. Have been so incredibly tired. Stayed in bed all day today and feeling like I wanna go back. Today i'm on CD29, 12DPO (I think). I'll definately let you know how I go.....

Oh, my nails are looking the best they've ever looked. Weird!!!!
