    TTC again after chemical pregnancy?

    hi all
Just wondering if everyone who has had a chemical pregnancy waited a cycle or 2 before TTC again?

I have been told by a few people that this is the best way to go. Of course I dont want to wait, but if it is going to help me have a healthy pregnancy then I will do it.

    Anyone have any experiences?

    thanks

Skyeblue, after my first m/c we tried again straight away. This time i havent decided yet. I'll see if i'm ready emotionally. We may just have another "relaxed" cycle where i dont temp or opk and just dtd when we feel like it. I guess its up to you when to start trying again and whether or not you feel emotionally ready for it. The first time my desire to have a baby out weighed the chance of having another m/c but this time i am a little more anxious.

    Take care of yourself

    Hey Kristy
How r u hun? Hope you are doing well.
I guess Im more worried about the physical aspect of things, and whether my body will be ready. I dont want to TTC if chances are Ill have another m/c. Do you know what I mean?
So I was wondering if you have a higher risk of miscarriage if you conceieve straight after a m/c..

Oh, i dont know that answer but there are a few ladies here that concieved straight away and have healthy bubs. I dont believe the risk is higher though, have you spoken to your Dr?? Sometime they dont know either.

Skye - I had my early m/c at around 4.2 weeks and I ttc straight away after but I am still not pregnant, 2 cycles later... some girls are lucky and fall pregnant straight after and have successful pregnancy, whereas for others, it may take a few months for your body to tick over again properly.

I can't tell you what you should do, but if it was me, like i did, I would just start trying again Good luck and I hope you can find the right decision for yourself soon.

oh and i don't necessarily believe that after having m/c, then falling pregnant again, that there is a higher chance of having another m/c..... it all depends on so many factors at the time.

    Hi ladies,

I'm new, and I know this post has been up for a while, but hope that some of you are checking!

I just had a chemical pregnancy last week and I was devastated!! I noticed you girls in this message who had a chemical pg before are now all pregnant. This is GREAT NEWS and CONGRATS !!

SkyeBlue, and others, I now have the same question that you had back in Jan. Did you try again straight away in the same cycle after the chemical pg? Or should I wait until I have a brand new period the next month? I want to try asap, but am scared to death that this will happen to me again. Please help!!

    Sorry for your loss, Salon127.
I has a chem m/c late last year and fell pregnant again the following cycle. I think you can just go for it, as long as you're emotionally ready!

    Hi ladies,

Sorry to sound naive, but what is a chemical pregnancy?

Also, to those out there who are TTC after m/c, my sister had an ectopic pregnancy and m/c in June 06. She had 3 AF's in 12 months, and without having another AF after her m/c became pregnant again and gave birth to a healthy baby boy in March 07.

Hope this helps in some way??

Thanks!! kbowman, congrats to your pregnancy and it's happy to see that a sticky one will happen !my doctor asked me to wait 1 true cycle b4 trying. I don't know. I want to try again asap, but i guess if she says so, i'll listen to her. I saw a few girls here that tried straight away and conceived w/o any problems. i hope it is true that after a chem pg, you're more fertile! and can't wait for my turn!!

AngieT, a chem preg is a fertizlied egg but was never able to implant successfully in the uterus. So happy to hear that your sis gave birth to a healthy baby boy !!

    salon127,

I ended up waiting for one cycle then fell pregnant again the next cycle. And here I am at 15 weeks. I think it is a good idea to give your body atleast one cycle to recover, even though it is a pain to wait lol
