Hey Tanya, well AF is due today and so far so good, I would usually have started her by now so fingers crossed, I'm not going to test until Saturday, which is when FF has said to test. It's so nerve wracking, lol.

Thanks Tanya, I might give that a go. Heaps of good info there. We are counting down to mid January to begin TTC and using the time now to prepare, which involves lots of research. I am amazed at how things have changed and improved in the "pregnancy world" since I was last in it.

Myson, i am hoping to TTC this month so i am also drink Alka Zeltzer daily.... (advice on here), But like you i am a bit afraid of douching..... I would hate for it to affect me or the baby The douching finger? do u think that may be in the same area as douching????

How many have douched and did u have any problems???

im dunno miklaoz, i thought douche risk was due to flushing/forcing liquids in with syringe or whatever???? making bugs travel further up than usual ???/ but "the finger" is just inserting an object and leaving beside a residue.... OMG can you believe this convo ...anyway.... being a girl involves a lot of sicking things in there, you know af's products, other treatmnts, dh, the doctors implements etc....so anyway, i thought forcing liquid under pressure was the problem. But like i said earlier. iam clueless about this stuff. WAY tmi i know, sorry.

i just looked at alka selzter in the shop this arvo, but it contains aspirin which thins the blood which for me is not ok.

What about Salvital? Is a effervescent drink? Should be in the same isle as the other.

Oh and douching, you don't force the liquid in, just let it flow through.

will see how i go by mid january with test strips and make a decision then. What is best to test ph level? pee, saliva or cm? will it all give same result? or is one more acccurate than the others.

Another thing you can try besides Alka is Ural .. I have both of these.

Oh Bugger ! I am the biggest doofus ever!

I have been testing my urine. I have been having Alka Seltzer each day and that has been working for me upping my PH but i did not realise i had to test the CM...

I was wondering if anyone had more information on this Bicard Soda finger . Will it work if i do it this month ? When do i do it?

Thanks for the information I am after a boy if possible.. I am hoping to try this month any quick tips or ideas?

If you know when you ovulate then DTD on that day/night, it will give you the highest chance hopefully, as that's what's happened with us.

I have done other research on concieving a boy involving phases of the moon. Now, I'm not into any new age, fairy, oogedy boogedy, BUT... the moon does influence things like tides, crop growth and menstral cycles (allegedly, but not in my case) so I figure what the heck. I will do all I can to improve my chances of having a boy. SO. my point is the crucial dates for a boy are RIGHT NOW! December 18, 19, 20, If you dtd on these dates with the correct level of alkalinity and you concieve then the likelyhood of a boy is way higher! (allegedly)

I am just spewing that I am still way too acidic at the moment, and plus not ovulating either. But looking forward to next month and it should be all go by then.

Ok i am still not on board... with this moon thing (confused)

According to my cycle, I should Ovulate in the next few days.. But according to web sites is say i Ovulate on the 23rd ... So i am sticking with the OPK and timing .. butttt the moon?? How do i fiugre out my correct dates? The Chineses calender say Dec is my month... Soo confusing.

Myson, get drinking your Urals right after your period till the time you ovulate. and then maybe douche or do that Bicard Finger

Got some urals today.

going to start taking ovulex when i get home from holidays (27th dec) because i dont ovulate on my own. not starting sooner because i dont know what effect they will have on me and my cycle and Aunt Flo is definately not invited to go beach camping!!!! she would be such a nuisance.

"moon dates" occur every month. for boy baby dtd during first 4 days of the first quarter of the moon.

going away tomorrow. baby dust to you all. Talk to you all at the end of the month. hope there is lots of good news all round when i get back.

Aiming for a boy here.

Just wanted to post that i DTD last night and I hopefully high Alkalined myself Hubby drank coke, crossing out fingers for next month.
