    TTC - Pregnancy Vitamins etc....

    Hi,
I haven't been around for a while but thought I would pop back as we have decided to try for another baby...... (well officially)

Can you recommend a pregnancy supplement?

I have PCOS and have just started on metformin - will be trying Clomid or something like that come March............

    Any thoughts?

I had ectopic pg 2 years ago and since then - nothing - I am going to try and conceive officially like I said - I have had all the tests including a hyterosalpingogram which I didn't really appreciate - but atleast I know my tubes are clear and that is wasn't the cause of my ectopic pg tow years ago.....

I am so scared that now i have decided to go for it that it wont happen but I wont know unless I try huh??

I used Cenovis Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Formula. They have all the usual things any of the brands contain but also have fish oil. They are one of the cheaper ones on the market.

    Hi Megs and GL.

I used the blackmores ones. But you have to take 2 a day and they are quite big. I hate taking pills. So if size and quantity are an issue for you have a look at the actual tablets if you can.

Also I fell pg with clomid on the first go. Hope it works as well for you!

Hey Megs - have to agree with Myson - I hate taking pills too.
I take a superfood powder supplement for preconception care, ttc, pg and bf. Then take fish oils in addition to that. The powder I use has a probiotic in it too, so keeps thrush at bay (which occurs more readily with the alkaline vaginal environ of pg).
Powdered supps tend to be absorbed by the body better too, than vitamin pills.

I highly recommend the powdered route - all comes down to preference though!

Worth chatting with your doc - I had a chat with mine today and he's recommended going folic acid only ... but that's just his view.
